This game is tons of fun Reminds me of the old N64 game Super Mario 64. Great scenery, does not feel repeatetive and overall lots of fun

This is by far the best game I bought for my Nintendo Switch. The levels are humongous, and there is still so much to do even after you beat the story mode. The controls are simple, easy to learn. The game is easy to understand, yet challenging enough so that it doesn't seem too easy. There are literally thousands of secrets hidden throughout the game as there should be in a true Mario game. Don't think twice and buy this game. FYI this is really a one player game, but there is a two player mode in which one player is Cappy.

I was very excited for this game ever since it was announced in January. When the game came out, I played it for hours, the whole time having a ton of fun with my friend. This game can really be enjoyed by almost anyone and is pure fun. This game is a very good game to introduce children to platformers. I completed the game and got 100% on everything. This took me 60 hours, but there wasn't a point during that time that I felt bored. This game truly is a masterpiece and deserves it's praise. I implore you to give it a try.

Super Mario Odyssey is the latest installment in the Super Mario line of games, but it's far from a rehashed sequel. SMO is a fresh take on the genre. It's a great balance between just challenging enough, but not too hard, to advance through kingdoms and complete the basic game and incredibly difficult if you're someone who needs to find and complete 100% of the game.
Definitely going to be the game of the holidays - whether it's your first time playing Super Mario or you're coming back after a long hiatus, get this game.

My son asked for this from Santa because like most 11 yr old boys, he's into video games and liked the characters. We've since played it with him twice and he and his sister (13) have played it 4 times. It maintains the main features of Monopoly but adds a few twists such as fighting the bosses for points. Each character has different power boosts so you can try them all out for variety. Play seems more straight forward and goes quicker than regular Monopoly. My wife doesn't like Monopoly but enjoyed playing this version.

The newest Super Mario game is an evolution on tried and true concepts from previous games with updated mechanics. The addition of Cappy and the ability to possess enemies brings the platforming antics to a new level. Meanwhile the world's you visit are often times twists on worlds we've seen before or welcome additions that you'll want to go back and visit time and again. In typical Mario fashion this game is the generic save the princess plot but with worlds and game mechanics that have you hunting one moon after another.

I was a huge fan of mario growing up, and loved the SNES/N64 versions the most. I didn't care for the wii game all too much, but am super pleased with this switch game. It's innovative and really gets you addicted very fast. The only downfall I'd say is, that if you want to play away from a TV, not all of the controls are possible. You can still beat levels, but I have a feeling it'd be much easier if you play with the joy cons. It's still a must get for any fan of Mario, or any nintendo switch owner looking for a new game.

This is my first Mario game since super Mario sunshine almost 20 years ago. Overall it’s a well polished game, the controls are fun and the worlds are nice to look at. I would say it’s not very challenging and I don’t necessarily agree that it’s a “sandbox” game. Yes some objects are moveable, but does that really count as sandbox? It might be my nostalgia based biased, but I think the Mario franchise has lost a bit of its charm since sunshine. It feels more like an arcade game rather than something I can get immersed in. I’m giving it 3 stars because my overall opinion on it is “meh.” It’s not a bad game, but I’m in no rush to hop back on and play it. I think a lot of professional reviews I read prior to buying overhyped it.

A ton of fun! This Hass to be one of the best Mario games I have ever played. The worlds were incredible and incredibly detailed. I loved searching and exploring. Even the ability to change into a Other items are villains was fun too. Hands-down get this game!

Not going to lie, I was so hyped for this game due to everyone's hype and I'm glad I decided to join the hype train because I fell in love with the world in SMO. I grew up without a Nintendo console(s) so this was my first official dive into the world of Nintendo. I could tell they incorporated a little bit of each Mario game and blended everything together to create this gem. Even though I suck at platforms, I had fun despite failing hard some times. Would recommend this game for all ages. Also great for co-op as well!
