Finally a game that is similar to Super Mario 64 in replay value, and Super Mario Sunshine in exploration. Highly recommend.

This is the first true big title release for Switch since Breath of the Wild. Mario games are always fun but this one most definitely stands out from all the rest with the true HD graphics and the new HAT system. Saw two reviews give this game a 1 star rating and one was because he had a bad experience with the store. This game deserves no less than 4 stars and it should only get that low if you are just truly nit-picky about everything. Fantastic game, if you have a Switch you need this game!

While Odyssey may not have reinvented the wheel, so to speak, it has arguably perfected it.
The colorful and imaginative kingdoms are a delight to traverse with an especially acrobatic Mario, the music is catchy, and the new capture system supplements an already great foundation of 3D platforming and exploration.
I don't want to get in to spoiler territory, but there are a ton of great surprises and a robust post-game to sink your teeth into. This is a must buy if you own a Switch.

After Zelda Breath of the Wild, I didn't think I will play another perfect game. This game is a perfect Mario game if you like platformers in 3d. If you have a hard time jumping and doing crazy moves in a 3d game, this is not for you. There are some 2d old school mario levels, but not too many. I say this game is a perfect 10 because it plays like Zelda where u have to explore your way around the worlds to find all the moons and purple coins. Addictive game, and perfect at home and on the go.

The Switch has been Nintendo's Renaissance for gaming so far and it looks to continue that way. Mario Odyssey is one of the best games I've played so far and although getting to the story's end isn't too hard, it makes up for it with everything else about the game. The movement is astoundingly fun, the game rewards exploration and has so many unique ways to earn moons (the games main focus, and Each world feels unique and highlights just how much work Nintendo put into making this one great.

In accordance to my Nintendo Switch, I've played this game for around 60 hours. Still, I have so much more to do, and better yet, I actually want to do it. The gameplay is the best in the Mario series, the graphics are beautiful given the system is running it. The endgame is so, so much better than you expect it to be that once you finish the game, you will feel like it has actually just begun. Guys, girls, moms, dads, dogs, c...okay you get my point. Get it, play it, enjoy it, Gabi94 out.

Son is very happy with his present again the packaging wasn’t that good but the game isn’t broken. I just think putting a brand new game into a shipping bag and sending it out that way could cause a lot of bad accidents and upset customers if they received a broken game

This game is awesome. It has great game mechanics, but isn’t too difficult for new players. My wife (who is not a gamer at all) has gotten through most of he worlds by herself and she obsessed with this game. There are a lot of collectible items in each world, but not all are mandatory to progress. It’s makes exploring the worlds rewarding. I cannot recommend this game enough for ANY Switch owner! Wether you have played Mario games before, or this will be your first, you are in for a treat!

Mario is Back and baby is this game fun. There is a lot of exploration in the game the controls are simple enough but some of the motion controls are a little frustrating at times to get precise. Game has countless hours of content with the many different worlds to explore.

As always, Mario delivers 100% 3D platforming fun, while managing to introduce new and innovative twists that don't detract from the classic gameplay that has made so many people life-long fans. There are lots of new elements involving the hat, and there are tons of retro references, both from the 3D era and the 2D era. Altogether, it feels like a much bigger leap than any of the other games since Mario Galaxy and does an even better job at making all those new elements more fun.

I waited a while before getting this game because I was listening to the hype about it being, yet again, a Mario great. The last game I got was Super Mario on the Wii, and I STILL get excited when I hear about it. This one right here is Mario 64 on some new stuff! You don't have things that you are use to, but CAPPY is by far my new best friend! Who knew you could be a Dino, Koopa, Yoshi, FIREBALL all in one game with the flick of a hat. If you like Mario, it's a must have!

This game was the second reason why I bought a Switch, and now it's the reason I suggest people to buy a Switch. The gameplay is fresh and creative, but not unfamiliar to those who have played a 3D Mario game before. The free exploration is a welcome change from the past few entries in the series, and Cappy is a helpful partner. Finding the Power Moons is a satisfying achievement, some are easy to find, some you have to work for. This game is to Mario what Breath of the Wild is to Zelda.
