I've grown up with Nintendo. From the NES days to today, Mario platformers have been a huge part of my gaming life. Super Mario Odyssey is no exception. It takes the great story telling and control dynamics of Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy all in one. What amazes me is the different ways to approach challenges in the worlds. It creates a great open world dynamic that you come to expect from the new Nintendo Switch era. After I finish this game, I diving back into Skyrim!

I really love this game it’s really enjoyable and has amazing graphics! The only downside is it can be quite challenging to get to the next levels. If you are patient and don’t mind the challenging levels then you will definitely love this game. Fun for one or two players and a must have for the Nintendo Switch.

Great game but it feels like someone took Mario and recreated it into another game with mostly the same idea ,so it feels like there stretching to try and make a newer better game but getting away from what’s already great about the Mario games, there are some really cool new things about the game that are great but there are things that alienate you from it being a Mario game that just don’t feel like they belong , is it worth buying definitely ,but it will hit you with nostalgia and make question what the creators were thinking when putting the game together..

So I have "finished" the game and by that I mean that I have played through the whole story line. Finishing with about 225 out of 999 moons though I am far from done with the game. This is one game where I am so happy it is not over yet. There is so much more that I want to do with it and spending hours in one level never really gets bored because of how much there is to do and the multitude of secrets that await you. This game is very possibly one of the best games of all time.

I'm not a huge 3D platformer fan, but I felt very good about my investment in the game. It took me about 12 hours to complete the main story, but there's so much more to explore! There are over 800 moons available to collect, and after about 20 hours, I've managed to collect just under 200. It doesn't feel like a grind though, because every one of them is a unique experience and puzzle.
Tip: When you feel your controller rumble as you walk around, there may be a moon nearby!

This is yet another outstanding game to come out on the switch. If you played and enjoyed MARIO 64 then you will love this game. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the hat attacks and jumps but that quickly passes and you are off on your adventure. There is an outstanding amount of content in this game. Almost every world has over 70 power moons to collect and as you collect them new areas and outfits are unlocked. This game is well worth what you pay for it.

Super Mario Odyssey is an excellent game for the Nintendo Switch. It’s one of the few, and best, games that really utilizes the most performance out of this game system. There are literally hundreds of hours you can put into the game combined with the story mode and extras.
Highly recommend purchasing and keeping in the long run if you have a Nintendo Switch. It’s already a classic in my library that I will go back to every so often whenever I have some free time to game.

With Sunshine and the Mario Galaxy games, the mission structure of getting each star was very linear. With this game, it goes back to the open sandbox style of gameplay of Mario 64 where you can tackle almost any moon (star) in the area. There's a lot more freedom playing like that. Plus, there are all sorts of advanced tricks and techniques for the advanced player. Absolutely highly recommended as this game will definitely end up in a hall of fame one day. It's that amazing.
