I have the original game cube controller and I prefer this for Switch and WiiU. The cable is longer and the controller feels sturdier. This is ideal for Smash Bros, and works well with MK 8 Deluxe and Mario Tennis Aces. Remember you need a GCC converter.

Fast inputs, long chord, good quality, feels and looks great. My original concern with this controller was that the pre-order date said it would arrive on Christmas, over two weeks after the release of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Fortunately, it arrived yesterday, giving me time to get used to the feel of the controller before December 7th. When comparing it side by side to the official controller that came with my Gamecube, the only difference that I can feel is the plastic it's made with. Some of the reviews for this controller have said that the plastic feels cheaper but I personally prefer the new material. The plastic on this controller feels a lot less likely to gather grease or marks after long play sessions. Many of the 1-2 star reviews have very different issues with their controllers. Some are complaining about slow inputs, low quality triggers, and some people are having trouble with getting it to work on emulators. I've had none of these problems. Maybe I just got lucky with the one I was shipped but overall, I'm very satisfied with it.

The GameCube Controller for Smash Ultimate feels exactly the way my original wired GameCube controllers feel. This makes playing Smash Ultimate way easier (adapter required). It even works with the other games on my Switch, at least for the ones that don't need the sticks to click in, or have a second Z button (top bumper), making multiplayer games on the NES feel slightly better than using the sideways Joy-Cons. I'll update this once I dig out my GameCube and try some games with it along with my launch Wii and Wii U. I was told that it does work with Wii U and PC, but I'll test them and update this in the future.

So if you have used a gamecube controller you know what you are getting here. The benefit though of buying one of these is that you are getting a new gamecube controller in case your old gamecube ones are worn out or you don't have any. Also another plus is that the cord on these is longer than those on the old gamecube controllers. These feel just as good and are amazing for smash bros! Now if only nintendo could keep the adapter needed in stock. I also do wish there were more color choices.

This controller needs an adapter to connect onto your Nintendo Switch! I was confused at first and upset at the same time as I learned, after I bought it, that it needs an adapter to connect. I've managed to get this controller for a few dollars less cuz it was open box im guessing previous buyer was frustrated like i was. Overall the controller works great. Controller brings me back to the SS Melee days as it feels and clicks the same as it did in the GameCube era. The cable is extra long as well so I could play from father away in my living room. I might recommend to others but will tell about the extra components it needs in which Nintendo failed to mention on their box.

I have been using this type of controller since the Gamecube era of Nintendo console. While it's great for the Switch with the adaptor, there does seem to be a slight amount of lag because of it. Overall it's not bad. It is about the same amount when I had the adaptor connected to the Wii U. Plus it's great if you still want to occasionally play stuff for Gamecube or want another way to play games on the Wii U or Switch while the Pro Controller is charging.

I’ve always wanted to get a Super Smash Bros game, and now I finally will with Ultimate! So I got the Switch this year, but it didn’t feel complete until I got the almighty GameCube controller. I love the design, it’s absolutely made for Smash Bros, the GameCube controller is one of the most unique controllers out there. Now that I have the controller, it will enhance my experience with Smash Bros Ultimate!

I am really happy that this controller feels pretty much the EXACT SAME as the originals from back in the day. I am honestly thinking about picking up a few more since these will even work on a Gamecube. Buy these up before they go extinct! These will be super expensive in the future

I’ve been playing Smash with GameCube sticks since Melee and I’m not going to stop now : ) it’s one of my favorite controllers and the best way to play Smash IMO. Best part is that the controller works on the original system. So if you still have your GameCube and need a set of sticks, go with this!

Despite being made this year, the GC controller still has the classic feel from when it was first released over a decade and half ago. A big welcome for me needing a new controller for Smash Bros. Ultimate and even playing old GC games.

This feels exactly as you'd remember. It's a high quality, Nintendo made, GameCube controller. Can be used on an actual GameCube. Great way to replace your original worn down controllers. Highly recommend when/if they go back in stock!

This controller feels exactly like the original Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo is known for making great and solid products, and this one is no exception. I play super smash brothers competetively, and this controller is perfect for me.

This controller is awesome if you can’t get your hands on the original GameCube one. It feels close to original. Weight is almost there just a little lighter. Feels solid. I would totally recommend this over pro controller!

The gamecube controller has always been a classic, and this is no different. It's good quality, and everything works whether you're playing on an old gamecube or playing Smash Bros on the Switch.

These gamecube controllers are perfect! They feel just like the originals and they have longer wires so you can sit plenty far away from the tv while you enjoy Smash or dig out your gamecube.

You can't beat using a classic game cube controller to play Super Smash bros. The quality is actually good and it has a fairly long cable length.

Quality of the controller is much better than the smash 4 version of them. Design and build are great. Just wish they kept them in stock.

I bought this controller in conjunction with the controller adapter. And I have to say it’s really nice. Pretty much a new GameCube controller. For me I use this mostly for Mario Kart, Smash, and Mario Odyssey. And for compatibility with other Switch isn’t much of a problem at all. Until you get into a game that require the LZ button since the controller only has 1 Z button. And the other plus is compatibility with Wii and GameCube. So even if you don’t have a Switch, this still could be of use if you want to replay some classics.

They are exactly like real Gamecube controllers from back in the day. They work perfectly with my 3rd party Wii U to Gamecube adapter.

Great controller that feels great and a has a long cable to go with it making this a great purchase.
