The alternate take on Superman origin was excellent and the characterization was well done. The violence was not for younger viewers but more mature. Animation and story moved at a brisk pace.

Very well done. Probably among the best animations ever written! Sticks to the original comic book story. I loved it and give it the highest recommendation possible (except it's recommended not for kids)

Good animation and superior story for all ages. The various characters where great and you pathos and sense of justice. I recommend Superman: Red Son DVD for those who like action and adventure.

It’s not my favorite animated Superman movie but overall I enjoyed it and it is an interesting “what if” story. The video and audio quality is superb. And the short “The Phantom Stranger” is also cool.

As much as I love DC Comic's, I was a bit confused with the respect to Superman being a Russian. Nevertheless, it does not disappoint as my favorite DC characters were inclusive of this version of Superman.

Fun tale of "what if Superman landed in Soviet Russia instead of the US?", especially for those of us who remember the Cold War. Lots of plot twists and familiar characters shown in a very different light.

This is an amazing edition to anyone DC animated library. This is one of my favorite Elseworld tales. The animation is great and it sounded amazing on our home theater system. Great buy!!!

We're right back where we started again! DC doesn't seem to know where to go from the messed up Justice League to the ill fated Batman Every time it seems like they might be headed on the right direction they do a complete 360 and hit a u-turn speeding on the wrong direction. Wonder Woman anchored them and AQUAMAN leveled them out! But now they're heading back into the abyss with this tired Superman story. I mean it would've been more compelling if it was more action packed. I just don't know what to say about DC I don't think that they will ever catch up to Marvel ever.

Animation is the one read DC tops Marvel. That's weird when you consider Marvel has the animation power of both Disney and Pixar behind it. DC does a great job of picking out stories for this too.

If you’re looking to see what would happen if super-man turned against the world, this is the movie to buy. This a good movie but I don’t want to give to much info so pick it up for yourself!!!

I was not sure about this one So I Redbox it first a twist on the classic with same message it was cool so Best Buy had a sell on this with a slip cover done deal

The story of Superman being from Russia is very interesting. However, this movie moved a little slow for me. The action scenes and animation are well done and I enjoyed the special features.

Great packaging and the slipcover. Also, the film was really entertaining. Really cool alternate look at Superman landing in the Soviet Union. I'd highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this story line. It was a worthwhile purchase. but at the same time, it could be a nice rental too. But if you are a huge Superman fan, its a worthwhile buy, especially on sale.

I owned the Comic book and while they made some small changes, it was faithful to the comic. Superman as a communist definitely is scary and yet it makes you wonder what is the price of peace.

One of the more emotional animated DC FILMS. I really enjoyed this and consider it to be one of the best in the animated library. I especially liked the Soviet Batman. He’s wicked!!

Great animation. Never have seen Superman portrayed the way he was in this movie! However, it was worth watching. Can never have enough insight into Superman! Get this movie!

Fantastic graphics along with a very COOL storyline about the Man of Steel being raised in Russia!.....Who thinks of these things??? and there is even a Russian Batman to boot!!!

I never got the graphic novel of this imaginary Superman tale so it was great to see it animated. The story was very "black and white" but interesting in some twists and turns.
