This is the first SVS subwoofer that I’ve heard or owned. Initially I wanted to buy the sb3000 but it breaks the $1k price point and size I was looking for in my space. Decided to go with this one in piano gloss finish. Upon delivery and setup, I was very impressed with the finish and look of the subwoofer. I hooked it up and initially was NOT impressed with its sound...very underwhelming. I went through all the setting and played with them to see how it effected the sound to my liking..reversing polarity made a huge difference, lower crossover to 60hz and backing the db to -20 made it disappear within my stereo. Once I got it dialed in...I started hearing bass in music I didn’t even know was there. A good demo is Bad Blood by Taylor Swift, has some of the deepest bass and transitions I’ve heard, you can feel the bass and rippling effect of the low frequencies without any bloating or boom, it’s awesome. I really like the app control for quick tweaks to accommodate the material being played. What makes this model so great to me is the size, the price just under $1k and app control. If I was a movie buff I’d go with the ported version, but since I am strictly playing music, I wanted the tightest, quickest response, this sub delivers.

    THE Sub Solution

This sub really shines with music and is very competent at home theater. My room is small 22x16 so the 2000 pro is perfect. Sounds great watching all the 4K trailers on Apple TV. Especially the Transformer movies, MI movies and Gardians & X-men movies. My room rumbles distortion free. Blows away the Bose Lifestyle top of line. In fact different universe. As a musician I have very specific musical tastes. Here’s where 2000 Pro shines bright. Very clear powerful and precise. Diana Krall vocals never sound so deep and rich. King Crimson 3 drummer setup sounds like the drummers are in my living room and the clarity of Stanley Clarks bass on Romantic Warrior is stunning. Oh can’t forget the richness of John Myung bass and the power of Portnoys drums. To wrap this up if you listen to music absolutely get non ported sub for clarity punch and crispness if you love movies as well the pro 2000 is perfect , if you have a big space get the 3000 or 4000. If you watch MORE movies than music I’d probably get the SP version (ported). One thing for sure SVS subs are built incredibly well and sound amazing. I haven’t mentioned the APP which is seamless and works perfectly. If the app doesn’t connect for some reason just delete it and reinstall it works great and you adjust the settings from your listening position rather than getting up all the time to make adjustments. This sub really pound for pound beats subs costing twice as much! Also customer service is insane ! They engage they respond and stick by their products unconditionally!

This subwoofer hits lows great! Purchased this for a 4 speakers stereo in-ceiling speaker in a 23x15x8 room. Before buying it, I was considering the the SB3000 but I’m glad i went with the SB2000 Pro. This sub fills the entire room at default settings at low-normal volumes. If you are looking for a sub for a room of this size this is the one.

Love these 12 inch subwoofers. Small but packs a mean punch. I run dual SB-2000 Pro's with my sound system. SVS has a trade up program whereas you can return the subwoofer for larger models. Just make sure you keep the original packaging.

the SB-2000 Pro is very good at pumping out huge explosions in action movies as it is blending into a two-channel musical setup. Better still, the SB-2000 Pro is affordable enough that depending on the size of your room, you can consider buying two as a worthwhile option if you want to get more even bass distribution in your room.

Received an old SVS 1000 sub with scratches all over it. I don’t understand how this even happens if there is ANY quality control. I’ve been a long time customer of Best Buy but they have really gone down hill lately and I’m not sure I can continue giving them my business. Now- trying to return this product they tell me I have to wait three days just to get a call from someone to see what they can do and from there it may take 2 weeks to get my money back! I was told not to take it to store because they’d turn me away? Really????

Controlled fast and it digs deep, doesn't get muddy or rattling sound. If your more into music only and sound quality it's a keeper. I'm kind of a bass head, I enjoy some sonic explosion that you can really feel. A pair of the sb2000's in a room close to 18'* 20' would be plenty for movies or music. I upgraded to the pb 3000, it's pretty big and kicks like a drunk sailor. The great thing about the sb 2000 is it's size and the remote app is a must.

To give some background on my application of this sub. I wanted it to go with my two channel system. Basically my turntable/cd system which is only for listening to music. I liked the idea of the phone app that allows you to control the subwoofer parameters from your listening seat. No more sitting, listening, then getting up and making changes and repeat. Now you can listen and make changes on the fly. Very easy to use. App hooks up to the sub via bluetooth, no issues. So in all honesty I contacted SVS to discuss options with them, and based on my room and equipment(13x14 with 15 ft high vaulted ceilings) etc. they actually suggested this sub over the 3000. So i had some reward points that would cover a bit of this purchase and decided to give it a try. First day, i thought maybe this wasn't going to work. I was replacing a SONY sub with much less power, and this felt like maybe too much power to control and blend in with my system. I decided I was a bit tired and would try it out the next day. I did, and made a few adjustments with the app, and lo and behold this thing really started to floor me. Know that this sub has a ton of power and is really good at producing an even, non boomy, sub bass down to 18hz. So i don't use this like I'm running a night club. I use it to provide those frequencies my floor speakers can't and provide dimension and presence to the music I'm listening to. But make no mistake, even with this sub being used at those levels, it can rattle your house with the right frequencies. So i can only imagine if you turned it up how much bass you would get. I would say i have the volume/gain set on the presets to either -14, or -12 for the most part. I would say this was one of the best purchases I have made in terms of supplementing my audiophile itch, and it has been an amazing addition to my system. Whole heartedly recommend you add this to your system. I have a theater system as well and this will be an addition that will be made to that system in the future. I can only imagine how amazing it sounds using the LFE channel with my theater system. Five stars all the way.

SVS has a great line of Subs. This unit is perfect for my 18x14 TV Room. Compliments the Klipsch 8000F's - - The app works perfectly to make any corrections in dB ration based on preference and what your watching/listening to - This is the 1000 - - a friend has the 4000 and those are crazu good, but you need the room and budget - -

Phenomenal sound...very punchy when needed, and especially great for music. Can rumble as well when needed in movies. The app isn't worth anything. Very difficult to set up custom button.....would buy again for the sound. Purchased Piano Black which is just plain beautiful. The unit size is so small it is amazing how much it can put out.

I bought 2 of these subwoofers for my office. My office is in a secondary bedroom approx 11ft by 11ft. I have my computer desk on one side of the room but have a recliner with a 5.2.4 surround sound setup. Space is limited so I had to go sealed, ported subs are just too big for this space. So I decided to give the sb2000 pro a shot. I must say I'm amazed at the output, I thought being sealed that it wouldn't be as loud as a ported sub. Maybe in a bigger room you'd hear a bigger difference but for a small room 2 of these things pound. Bass is deep and clean. I upgraded from Klipsch reference series subs because I wanted better quality bass. Svs does not disappoint. I had even tried the pb2000 pros a while back and wasn't too impressed with them and ended up going with the Klipsch rp1400sw but that was for my living room which is a bigger space. For a small space two sb2000 pro will do the job with headroom. I don't know that id say sealed for music and ported for movies after trying these subs out. They're great for home theater. I do still prefer ported for home theater but these are just as great in a small room for home theater, for everything really.

Quality product, all around. Setup was straightforward. (I do not utilize the optional Soundpath Wireless adapter, so I cannot speak to that) The app is not as intuitive as it could be, but does explain all of the functionality within the UI and becomes second nature to navigate soon enough. The three independently configured Parametric EQ’s make tuning the subwoofer to your room’s acoustics easily accomplished. It has a clean, clear and precise output that can effortlessly overpower my mid level surround setup. However, I have set up the PEQ’s to fill the room with a subtle excess of sub 30hz on the Movie preset, and a little extra hit for the drum kicks in the Music preset.

SVS makes some incredible subwoofers…and these are no exception. I currently have a PB-2000 Pro and wanted to compare it to the SB-2000 Pro. I listen to A LOT of music and also use a sub for movies. The distinction between the two (ported vs sealed) is one that is honestly up for personal preference. Both sound excellent and have the ability to shake the entire room. Both the PB and SB work great for movies or music. The difference is subtle but noticeable and not a difference in quality whatsoever, just merely preference. The SB will dig deep and hold somewhat of a ’tame’ demeanor playing seemingly in the background, while the PB can carry that tone a little deeper and a little more effortlessly thanks to the size of the ported enclosure. Again, the SB2000 Pro is no slouch, especially fun running as dual subs. The app functions on the Pro series is top notch to get the subs dialed in and very user friendly. Combine all of this with SVS customer support and product quality and you can’t go wrong.

Have been looking to by the svs 2000 pro for a while. Was between the pb and sb but for esthetics and size, pulled the trigger on the sb2000 pro. I have to say, it looks beautiful in person. The enclosure is well build and the finishing is top notch. The sub performance is in another level. Thr bass is accurate and fast. Was concerned about movies but hey, got the "hate" approval from my neighbors. If you are looking for this sub, go ahead and do it. Please take some time tunning you sub and system to your living room. It is a crucial to the final results.

I bought this sub to replace my old Polk audio sub that I had for over 10 years and WOW what an upgrade. This subwoofer truly elevated my entire sound system. I placed it behind my couch and I really feel like I’m at the theaters when watching movies. This is bass that you can actually feel in your chest, and it’s crisp, not muddled at all. I know it’s pricey but I have absolutely NO regrets with my purchase.
