I purchased this Swagtron scooter for my grandson for his birthday back in May 2018. It was fast to charge up and easy to use for him. He loves it.

This board is good, but there's some flaws. Let's start with the bad: 1. The center hinge has a ton of vertical play. There's no horizontal play, so the board is perfectly usable, but play on a part like this suggests lower quality and lack of precision. Also, after very little use, it started feeling gritty and not smooth. I just sprayed some penetrating oil on the seam from underneath the scooter and that worked marvelously. after a few weeks it still feels smooth. 2. The left wheel started squeaking a bit. The wheels themselves have no play at all and feel very tight (which is very good). However, one of them started squeaking a little bit. This was especially noticeable in reverse. So, again, I just sprayed some penetrating oil on the axle from under the scooter and the problem is solved. 3. The battery is quite small: most hoverboards have a 150Wh battery, but this one is like 68Wh. the most I think I've gotten out of a full charge is like 6Km, which is like 4 mi. If you plan to use this as transportation, make sure your destination is close. One upside, though, is that the battery can be recharged in about an hour or so. The good: 1. The board has a very nice finish and design. It feels very good (besides the hinge) and well built. It has a slightly different design than that of the generic hoverboard, and I like it. It has nice wheels and good looking lights. 2. Quality: Again, besides the hinge, the board feels quality. the plastics feel good, the wheels have no play, and the button and charging port feel solid. The charger cables feel a bit weak and delicate, so that deducts some points. 3. Safety: The board is UL2272 compliant, which means it won't spontaneously combust. The battery is also contained in a metal housing, which is REALLY good (just in case. It shows that they take safety seriously). The board wont work while it's charging and you can even monitor the battery temperature through an app (more on that later). I've had the board plugged in for many hours and the battery has not overcharged, which is good. There is definitely a battery management circuit in here. One advantage of the small battery is that it takes about an hour to recharge. 4. Features: There's an app which allows you to monitor your speed, battery level and temperature, and it even has an odometer (trip and total) just like a car! You can set a speed warning (beeps over a certain speed), max acceleration and steering sensitivity. You can even track your rides on a map. the app is a bit buggy and not super intuitive, but 80% of the time it works very well. The board also has a speaker. you can connect your phone through Bluetooth and play your music. I personally think this is a bit obnoxious, and the speaker has mediocre sound quality, but it's there if you want it. Conclusion: If you can spare some loose change to buy some WD40 or something like that, then get this board. Despite the dodgy hinge and squeaking wheel, this board is excellent. It is a ton of fun, and has some nice features. I got it for $200, but even at thhe MSRP of $250 this board is a killer deal. My overall experience has been very good. Definitely recommend it.

Quicker than rated (top speed), but doesn’t accelerate fast enough to wheelie with a hover cart on it. Set up and charge are easy and as quick as I would have expected. Tried overweight passenger and it doesn’t have the capacity for it. Struggles some with slight incline.

My son loves it. It actually brought his friends more together and we bonded closer because of it. It is a blast to ride and everyone can do it

Yes, we opened presents early. This hoverboard is everything that it's advertised to be. The self-balancing aspect works great. There are 2 levels to choose from, a learner's mode and an advanced mode. The learner's mode limits the speed and makes it very easy for someone that's not accustomed to being on one of these things. Once comfortable, switching to the advanced mode is as easy as pushing the correct button. We aren't quite there yet, but it's supposed to be able to move faster than what it does now. The lights on it are cool, and the built-in blue tooth speakers are an added bonus!

First, I've never owned a hoverboard before. So, I can't compare this model with others. But here's my experience buying one for our 10-yr old son for Christmas... The price was reasonable compared to other products we looked at across multiple stores. The reviews were also good. When our son opened the box, the unit looked durable and well made. It was a cinch to charge. Could not have been easier to put into use. Within a few minutes after charging, our son was "hovering" around the room like it was the 21st century! No problems. I tried it, too. Success. It's quiet, smooth, responsive, and has worked fine. The Bluetooth speaker is a cool feature, too. We haven't taken it outside yet because it's so cold your toes will fall off if you're outside for more than five minutes. I'm expecting it to operate well on trimmed grass, though (no roots or humps/bumps). Since we didn't get the All-Terrain version I don't expect to be able to shred it outdoors, but it appears to be just what we were looking for: a good quality, introductory hoverboard. Our son could not be happier.

Bought this for my 12 year old who loves it. She rides it all over the house. Very stable indoors, but can get sketchy outside. It can get unstable going over large cracks or inclines/declines. It has proven reliable and the battery seems to last quite awhile.

My son loves his hoverboard... especially the Bluetooth feature that allows him to stream music! The product is durable, easy to use and easy to charge. I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting to get around on wheels!

I’m very satisfied with the performance, speed and battery life. Pairing with the phone app is a breeze and you can play any media - YouTube, your music, any streaming app - from your phone through the speakers (quite loud). Max speed is 8mph and it’s feels awesome (and scary if you hit a road bump). Stability is not an issue in Standard mode, but in Advanced it requires a little more skills. There are some third party addons which transform it to Segway type device or you can add a seat...

What a great investment. It was a birthday present and she hasn’t been off it since. The best is that is has a Bluetooth connector so she is riding in style.

My son enjoys it! Only downfall is the shaking when he gets off of it. Doesn’t always happen but I hope there is a solution to this problem.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my nine year old son. He loves it. It’s easy to use and holds charge for a long time. It was also a great price.

Great started hover board. Durable, and easy to adapt to, even my mother was able to get the hang within minutes.

This hover board is fun to ride. It’s well made. It’s fairly easy to learn how to ride it. You get quite a bit of riding time per charge.
