Excellent series! I was really disappointed to hear it didn’t get renewed for a second season. I still have high hopes that someone will pick it up. I thought it had a really great story and was executed well. The season finale left you wanting more, so I’m hoping we can see a Swamp Thing season 2 in the near future.

Great Season, to bad they Discontinue it. DC Universe cancelled Swamp Thing.

This was a great show eventhoughit'sa bit slow. Too bad HBOMax canceled it after one season. I always hoped someone would pick it up a continue it.

It's completely unacceptable that this show was canceled after one near-perfect season when trash like Batwoman is getting a second second despite the titular star leaving. This show is a great combination of psychological thrills, suspense, drama, and a touch of body horror. It's not overtly scary but can be very tense at times. The storytelling and acting are great and the design of the Swamp Thing costume with the use of practical effects is top notch. It's also great to see other members of the Justice League Dark make an appearance including Blue Devil, Phantom Stranger, and Madame Xanadu. My only complaints are that Madame Xanadu was turned black, as happens in far too many live-action (and even animated) adaptations these days, and that a secondary character was given a lesbian girlfriend for no reason that served no purpose in the story. Luckily this is as far as the effects of "current year" politically-correct nonsense reach in an otherwise flawless show. The way the show ends and the characters it introduces just makes it all the more tragic that we won't be seeing the story continue. #BringBackSwampThing!

This is easily the best comic book based tv series since the first season of Daredevil. If you’ve read Alan Moore’s run of Swamp Thing comics, this is what you’ve been waiting for!! With an equal balance of true horror elements and loyalty to the comic book source material, James Wan brings us an incredible take on Swamp Thing. With an amazing cast and stellar practical and visual effects, this series is captivating from start to finish. The most impressive part is how they bring Swamp Thing to life. If you don’t have the DC Universe streaming service, this is a must own because I would say you don’t have to be a comic book fan to like this.

Swamp thing is an absolutely great entertainment. I’ve always enjoyed DC more than Marvel mostly due my belief that DC is aimed at a more mature audience. One reason I think their movies have not done great is because they try to water them down too much. I think this was proven with the success of last years Joker and some of their more recent animated films. With their streaming service they have nailed it with three hits: Titans, Doom Patrol(my personal favorite) and Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing may not be as innovative as DP but it is just as entertaining. It’s like watching classic southern gothic horror. It’s nothing short of a pleasure to watch if you have a little bit of a strong stomach, it does have some rather gross scenes at times, but it never lingers to much on the gore. If you want a good horror show to watch I don’t know if I could recommend Swamp Thing higher.

One of the best DC Universe original programs, sadly canceled after 10 episodes due to financial issues with the state of Louisiana where it was filmed. Great special effects, production values, everything. It will make you jump out of your seat. It's nothing like the old Swamp Thing tv show or the B movie it inspired. It's not your grandfather's Swamp Thing. Highly recommended as are all of DC Universe originals like Doom Patrol, Titans, the animated Harley Quinn and coming soon Stargirl.

This series originally aired on the DC UNIVERSE app and it carried a lot of hype and had big expectations. As the series got closer to the premier date, it started to get a lot of uh oh moments. The first was that they reduced the number of episodes that were originally supposed to be aired, and then they flat out said it was only going to be 1 season. The series itself is great and the story was building to something to look forward to got multiple seasons, but instead what we got was a taste of what could have been. The reason DC cancelled it was cost of production, but I felt they could’ve tweaked something especially if fans were crying out got it. At least we got 1 season though. Also the only other gripe I had was that it was really dark the way it was filmed. I wished they would’ve lightened it up.

With good acting, great sets, and fine writing, Swamp Thing deserved more than one season of life. But one of DC Comics' most misunderstood superheroes has always had a tough time reaching the screen--and staying on it once he was there. With a bit more of a "horror" vibe than in previous incarnations, this version of Swamp Thing is even more memorable than previous shows/movies about this not-so-jolly green giant.

ZK Whoever at Warner Bros. that made the decision to cancel this show should be fired. If you're a Swamp Thing fan I believe you might like these show. It nails the horror video vibe & action plus Swamp Thing looks awesome maybe a lil too small but that's a nitpick. Only bad thing is I don't know if they're going to make a season 2.

The place is well organized for curbside and pick up orders. They have a place set up that will have you in and out as fast as possible. The manager Albert was so kind and helpful that I would (and will) gladly order again! The deals on their box movies are amazing as well. Thanks for making this the best store order I have had since the necessity became all too exhausting at so many other stores!

It shows its comic book roots literally. Dr Alec holland by a tragic attempt on his life is given new purpose as nature's green avenger swamp thing. in all 10 episodes of the series on BLU-RAY. As he fights for his friends , new home , and his life from a contamination & invaders in the swamp he uses all his abilities to prove one fact "don't bring your evil here or face the wraith of Swamp thing"!

This is an awesome series and I hope swamp thing fans give it a chance. It was well written and well acted. It’s a darker version and that’s what I have always wanted. Bring this character to the forefront and actually use him. I will say the first half of the season is done extremely well and the second half seems a bit rushed but all in all I was very happy with the purchase.

Good telling of the swamp thing story tho occasionally slips into soap opera stuff. Very effective special effects and great action sequences and good acting all around but had trouble with believing the female lead as a world renown disease control expert. Wish the show had run longer so as to develop the many interesting story lines. Also nice to see Adriane Barbeau pop up but she sure looked scary!

This show is fantastic; it honestly makes no sense why they would cancel it. The show does an amazing job in blending the various genres. Much of the imagery is admittedly darker-in-tone, sort of horror-lite. But, don't let that push you away from checking it out. It's one of the best shows the DCU has made to date!

Good series with a great story line. Cool cast of characters and twists in the story. Acting some times seems cheesy but that would be my only nit pick to the series. Too bad this is it to the series though and They definitely should bring it back.

Though unfortunately cut short, the first (and only) season of Swamp Thing reintroduced the character in a way fans will appreciate. With a stellar cast and solid visuals, this iteration of Swamp Thing is the best to hit the small (or big screen) as of yet.

An excellent series that deserved to continue on. The horror and supernatural elements is spectacular and vivid. You can tell the cast and crew put their hearts into the show. While the slip box that it came in was dinged up on the corners, the discs were okay. The video and audio quality is excellent.

... but with a crazy amount of gore! If that combo sounds good to you, then exchange your dollars for this blu-ray set! The picture is great and the discs are guaranteed to fit inside most blu-ray players!

Wow, I've seen several iterations or attempts at a good Swamp Thing show/movie and it's been bad all the way... Movie quality in a tv show, loving this all day. The only downside is the writer seems a little busy trying to cram in other DC characters as we go (Blue Devil), but it's forgivable.
