    So far I only have 4 cameras hooked up. Installation is easy. Setting up the hard drive is easy and the app on my phone works great. I didn't buy insurance with it. That was a mistake. One camera stopped working after a week and a half. The hard drive is very noisy. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have real peace of mind. The cameras work great at night picklng up all the wildlife in the yard. No bad guys, fortunately. It is great to be able to check into home from 100's of miles away. If you're looking for a hard wired system like I was however, I would recommend the ethernet wired cameras instead. Installation is just as easy and they record sound. Supposedly the hard drive is quieter as well.

    The ability to add an additional hard drive, is a must for me. Can hold a total of 12tb not 6 as BestBuy's web site says. I would like to see BestBuy stock this system in their stores. Their return policy for online purchases requires a return of everything. So if one little thing is non-functional you have to return the entire system. Basically my issue is with BestBuy's policy and not Swann. Be sure to get the correct cables if you need extra. There's a difference between BNC cables. Get the Swann 4k cables, don't bother with Insignia's. The mobile app is fine just be sure to view in the substream. I honestly don't care about an app or how it looks. It how it records footage. You want a good app, you want a toy. Want a toy get an Alro. They are a toy not a tool.

    DVR doesn't work

    Well, after being excited with our upgrade from our 720p swann system we ended up being disappointed. Set up 3 cameras and ran those wires to the unit only to find out it doesn't work. All I get is a static screen. I tried HDMI and VGA and same thing. Tried unplugging and everything else. Makes me so mad that we are unsecured now that our old system is down. Plus I have to take everything down and deal with the exchange process through the mail. Do not buy this system if you can't pick it up in the store.

    I wanted to upgrade my Swanview Systen for a newer one. The wiring cables were the same so I thought it would be easy. It has been terrible. The cameras don’t work right. The app for the system is awful. I am so very disappointed.
