Q: Does this system record video and sound or just video only?
A: The camera only records video.
Q: Does 16 channel mean that is expandable to 16 cameras?
A: Yes. It is expandable to 16 channels.
A: recording 24/7 on the highest resoluiton (4K) would not provide you with 30 days of storage. 4K footage is bulky and would take up more space then a lower resolution. You may receive 2 - 5 days of storage.
A: This unit would be the same. It will record in color during the day and in black & white in the dark or in a low light setting.
