so far got 3 out of 8 installed, works great so far. got it connected to the internet so can see it from my desktop or smartphone now. still tweaking the motion sensor setting on each camera since you can set to cover/ignore certain areas in the field of view vs all or nothing. everyone was suggesting to get wireless, but you would still need to run power cables to a common point unless you are lucky enough to have outlets next to the mounting location. that or worry about batteries to change. recommend going to local hard ware store and getting outdoor weather proof wiring boxes that you can get a cover w/a 1/2" hole, like the ones you get for outdoor lighting. take the mounting base off the camera and it threads onto the cover plate, the box gives extra room to stash the cable connection. only down side so far is one of the camera's during testing would only show black and white not color so will have to exchange that when i get some free time.

Got this system on recommendation from my son-in-law who installs security systems professionally. I am very happy with results using this system in my home.

I did my due diligence and these cameras are a wonderful deal. I only wish the cords were longer. 100’ doesn’t quite reach every where in my ranch style home.

Pictures are amazing clear in daytime. Ok after dark.have not connected network,so no information there. Running wires take some time. Overall very pleased with this system.

This is my second Swann system. The other system was 10 years old and I needed a system I could access from the internet. This was the perfect system to go with. Easy to install and use their apps for internet access. Their technical support was great for any questions I had.

Do not be intimidated by the fact that you're going to connect 8 cameras on your house. All you have to do is run all of the wires drill the holes, screw them into the wall and connect the wires too the storage device. The definition and color is very good and the night vision is very very good, it states you can see up to a hundred feet but actually you can see much farther.

The product itself is great, easy to install Picture quality is awesome. The directions on playback etc though were not included. Had to do it through the app which is not good. Took a while with help from tech support but have it going and no problems.

I purchased this system because I saw it at my sister's home. I have a Drop Cam and At&T Digital Life cameras. When the WiFi goes out, that is the end of the recording. I travel for weeks at a time and I want to feel more secure regarding my home's coverage. I love the system for it has high definition quality pictures on the monitor. Ability to install was easy.

They havent upgraded the software much since I bought tis system 5 years ago at old house but picture quality has much improved. I wish they provided longer cables but they are the same length as other systems in this price range.

I purchased this for our business. It was a very simple install anyone can do it. The video quality in HD is amazing. The Internet connection was a little tricky I did have to call customer service and after about a 15 minute wait and they got it up and running. I downloaded the mobile app to my iPhone and iPad so that I can check in on the warehouse during the weekend.

Installing cameras was pretty easy. Great video picture.

I bought these cameras 6 months ago and since then I have not had any problem at all. They work perfectly!

Basic setup, takes time to hook up wireless feature.

Very happy with this product. Crystal clear video, and set up was a breeze. Can remote view from all of my smart devices. Only downside is that the DVR is a little loud.

Easy to install and good to use. The tablet app is good. watch for low permission email site.

Installation of the cameras and the wires were easy. Initial set up of the functions were simple by just following the onscreen menus. Picture quality was great just what I was looking for at a great price.

I just set mine up the other day. So far so good. The only thing I would complain about if I had to complain about somthing would be the fan noise from the DVR. Its a bit loud. I much rather deal with the noise than the DVR over heating because of it running nonstop.

I purchased the same Swann unit several years ago. It stopped working and I called their overseas service hotline. Got limited help and the call was very exhausting to say the least. Since I already had my Swann camera's installed, I bought this whole unit and just replaced the DVR which took less than 30 minutes. HOPE this one last a little longer or will switch brand and camera's next time.

The set up could not have been easier. This is a plug and play kind of easy. The video quality is good enough for my purposes. And playback is easy on the monitor or on my phone app. Very pleased with this system and would recommend.
