Great product and better ease of use. My son loved it as a Christmas present

I bought the Nintendo Switch Lite as a gift for my daughter, who had limited prior experience with gaming & no experience with mobile gaming devices. The device was easy to setup, easy to navigate and is light weight with great color & display graphics, as well as sound quality for the size of the controller. It holds a good charge (about 4hrs) but we've only had it for a little over a month - so we'll see how that holds up. It's great to take on long road trips and allows for the use of headphones, which gives my wife + I a break from hearing the Mario Bros. game soundtrack playing alongside whatever we are listening to.
If I did have any complaint so far, it would be about the lack of a wired and/or wireless option to attach or cast the Switch Lite to a larger TV vs. always having to play using the controller screen. I've looked in the settings and haven't found any way to make that happen. Other than that, I would definitely recommend the Switch Lite for anyone looking to get started with mobile gaming. Two thumbs up.

This system was played for a couple months and then put up safely in a drawer. Pulled it out today to play and the screen is orange and won’t run anything, turn off or respond. We’re barely out of the 1 year warranty period.

After giving a bit of time with the new Switch Lite, I gotta say I am pretty impressed with it.
The handheld is comfortable to hold, even with someone who has big hands such as myself. I am finding that my fingers just naturally want to sit on the shoulder buttons as I am holding the handheld console, as well as the face buttons and left thumbstick (I haven't played a game yet that requires the use of the right thumbstick) as I am playing games. The console is extremely light too. It almost feels like you are holding an empty plastic shell case with a screen with how light the console feels. Finally, the Turquoise color is nice color as it is not too bright, but more of a flat color. The Switch Lite comes with a charging adapter too.
The only downside I can find with the Switch Lite so far is the sound from the internal speakers doesn't seem to be very loud, even with the volume turned all the way up. I am playing Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening with the Switch Lite as my first game and I am having a hard time hearing the sound effects and the music in the game. Headphones would probably improve the quality of the volume, but I prefer using the internal speakers with portable video game electronics. Also, you cannot hook the Switch Lite up to a TV. This is strictly a portable device. So just a head's up on that.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase. It is a nice portable console that gives you the original Switch experience, but on the go and at a $100 dollar discount.

I love my Switch Lite! It’s super lightweight, easy to carry, and perfect for gaming on the go. The built-in controls feel great, and the battery lasts a long time. It runs all my favorite games smoothly, and the color options are so cute. If you’re looking for a more affordable way to enjoy Nintendo games, this is honestly the best handheld console out there!

Lately, I have been wanting to play video games again, so I decided to re-purchase a Nintendo Switch Lite. Everything about this handheld video game system is great. Nice screen size, very easy to hold, amazing graphics, excellent speakers, very reliable and a ton of games you can purchase and play on it. All the buttons, control pad, bumper buttons and directional sticks work flawlessly. The battery life is pretty decent for something with such good graphics. It has ample built in memory, but if you are going to be downloading a lot of digital games and saving a lot of files, you should purchase a separate micro SD card for additional storage space. Also, be sure to buy a nice and sturdy protective case and screen protector to keep your Switch Lite in great shape for many years to come.

I purchased the Nintendo Switch Lite and I have been thoroughly impressed. As a longtime fan of Nintendo, I had high expectations, and I'm delighted to say that the Switch Lite has exceeded them.
First and foremost, the design is sleek and eye-catching. The Turquoise color is vibrant and adds a touch of personality to the device. It's lightweight and incredibly portable, making it perfect for gaming on the go. One of the standout features of the Switch Lite is its exceptional battery life. I can enjoy extended gaming sessions without worrying about running out of power quickly. Whether I'm on a long flight or a road trip, the Switch Lite keeps me entertained for hours.
While the Lite doesn't have detachable Joy-Con controllers like its big brother, it still offers an impressive gaming experience.
In terms of value, the Nintendo Switch Lite is a fantastic investment for both avid gamers and casual players. It delivers Nintendo's signature quality and innovation in a compact package.

Used both the regular Switch before getting this Switch Lite. The Switch Lite is much lighter and compact, with a great price value. I absolutely recommend it if you're only using it on the portable mode. Well, if you're going to use the TV mode as well, the regular one is obviously better.

I had been contemplating on getting the Nintendo Switch Lite because I already have the normal system but I liked the idea of having something more compact and easily accessible. I began my search for the Lite but all I could locate were the gray colored one. So I went to Best Buy as a last minute thought. They had all the colors so I ended going with the turquoise one. Got home and immediately began playing games on my Lite! The colors are bright, the contrast crisp, and I actually feel more like I did when I was younger with my Gameboy Color! The system runs smoothly and efficiently! This was one of the best things for me to find in 2020 due to everything going on!

Perfect for On-the-Go: My kids love taking the Switch Lite everywhere! Its lightweight, compact design makes it super easy to bring along for car rides, trips, or just playing around the house.
Kid-Friendly: It’s durable enough to handle the rough-and-tumble life of being a kid’s device. The controls are intuitive, and the games keep them entertained for hours.
Great Game Library: With a huge library of fun and engaging games, there’s something for everyone, from adventure games to educational ones.

The Nintendo Switch Lite in Turquoise is a fantastic handheld gaming console that’s perfect for gaming on the go. Its lightweight design and comfortable grip make it easy to use for extended periods, and the vibrant turquoise color stands out. While it doesn’t support TV docking or have detachable Joy-Cons, it’s ideal for anyone who prefers handheld gaming. The 32GB storage is a bit limited, but adding a microSD card solves that issue. Overall, it’s a solid, affordable option for portable gaming.

After playing this a few times, and with there being some great games, I really like the Switch Lite. It's a comfortably-sized handheld with responsive buttons and joysticks. It's intuitive, unlike it's predecessor the Wii U. I am not a hard-core gamer, but I have been playing Nintendo systems since the original NES when I was in grade school. I found the Wii U difficult to understand and use in the beginning. Not so with the Switch Lite.
I was very uninterested in the Switch when it first came out. Since this console had zero backward-compatibility, and it still cost the usual console price of $300, I preferred to stick with my New Nintendo 3DS, where I have an extensive game library.
However, over the years, I've seen some great games come to the Switch, and with the NEW and Super NES games that can be played on it, my interest grew. But not enough for $300.
The $200 price point is much easier to swallow, and honestly, I love the size of this unit. It's just big enough, light-weight, and the screen looks great.
I do have a few downers on this unit however:
- It's not very comfortable to hold for long periods. I found a great protective case for it that adds a grip feature, and that helps, but of course, more investment.
- No backwards compatibility with DS/3DS games (yes, I know, hard to accomplish with a single screen).
- The games are expensive. VERY expensive.
Overall, I am happy to have purchased the Switch Lite. I was much more comfortable with the lower price-point, and I can enjoy a lot of the games I was interested in.

If you are looking to buy a Nintendo Switch but really don't want to spend a crazy amount of money, go with the Lite. The console is attractive and feels light and easier to fit in the hands. The display is slightly smaller and does not have the ability to be displayed on the TV but if you are like me and enjoy playing directly on the console, this is the better option. It also does not have removable joy cons, which i enjoy. They don't die like with the original one. I highly recommend!
