My daughter received this device Jan 2025. She has used this device 2 months only on the weekends. One of the control knobs rubber has started to tear along the perforated lines and is starting to lift/peel.

Somebody can tell me when this nintendo switch oled released?

I originally purchased my Switch OLED from a different retailer in January. I have loved it and have hundreds of hours on it thus far in different games. My partner has also expressed interest in the Switch, but our game tastes are extremely different. About a month and a half ago, he asked if he could download a game onto mine and I agreed! Since then, he's been raving about how wonderful the Switch is, from the portability to take it with us in our busy lives to being able to charge it with our phone chargers (we're both PC gamers with very nice rigs, but obviously, PCs aren't portable). For an early Christmas present, I decided to buy him his own Switch and opted to go with this one because our date nights are frequently Mario Kart on my Switch. I couldn't wait to give it to him, so I gave him his about a week ago. Since then, we're both loving our Switches even more! His was a phenomenal value--I bought mine for $349.99 and then had to buy Mario Kart separately. To get both for $350 was a no-brainer. The OLED's colors, contrast, and clarity can't be compared or competed with by the original or the lite, especially if handheld is your primary/only way of playing on your Switch! Definitely recommend. One of my/our small complaint is that this bundle for the OLED only has the white Joy Cons/Dock (mine is white and we originally had planned to get him the Red/Blue Joy Cons to distinguish our docks easier, even though they're fully compatible lol). Other than that, it's perfect! Battery lives are amazing on both of our Switches and I'd happily buy this bundle again for a loved one/myself, if I ever needed to. A bit of a larger complaint is that we immediately had to buy an SD card (we went with a 512gb option) to go along with it because within 3 digital downloads, the storage capacity was essentially out (though, granted, two of the games he chose to download are chunkier games in terms of storage requirements). But truthfully, as PC gamers, we knew we'd have to get him an upgraded SD card, so we really aren't that upset about it. With the game selection, portability, charge capacity, performance, and comfort, we would buy again if we ever needed to, and we'd buy the SD cards again.

I bought this Switch and I have been playing Super Mario Odyssey, GTA San Andreas, a little Zelda. The handheld gaming is way easier for my lifestyle though I still love my PS5. Now that the 2 is coming out, I will get that one, too. BUT getting the OLED was worth it. The screen looks great. My only con is that it is a little heavy but I JUST realized it has a kickstand so I use that and disconnect the joycons if I want to play away from my tv.

Bought this for wife’s Christmas gift during sales. She plays games that do not need to be docked and I use my original docking unit. This works perfect for handheld games with bigger and better screen. It is a tad bit heavier, those who are a little sensitive might notice it. It’s a great bundle buy because you get Mario kart game (digital) plus one year of Nintendo membership. Could use more system storage though.

Went from Switch Lite to this so we could play on the television but the OLED screen was so amazing that I keep playing it handheld… much to my children’s frustration. The upscaled colors and graphics make gaming more fun and the kids love being active when playing games on the TV. Highly recommend the OLED Switch for the small price difference although if you into to just pkay on a television, it may not be worth it.

The Nintendo Switch OLED is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The screen is absolutely stunning—so bright, vibrant, and sharp. Every game looks better on it, and it makes such a big difference, especially when playing in handheld mode. I didn’t think it would matter that much, but wow, it really does! I love how versatile the Switch is. I can play on the TV, then take it with me and keep playing on the go. The kickstand is way better than the original version—more sturdy and adjustable, which is great for tabletop gaming. The speakers are louder and clearer too, which was a nice surprise! The whole system just feels more premium, and it makes my gaming experience so much more enjoyable. I play it all the time—whether I’m chilling at home, traveling, or even just passing time between things. I also really love the white Joy-Cons—they look so clean and modern. If you’re thinking about getting a Switch or upgrading, the OLED model is 100% worth it. I seriously can’t stop using it!

Love my oled switch for the bigger screen and sleekness of it. Also gonna get the switch 2 when I get a chance. Love a portable gaming device for long road trips. Or just any outing when we are on the road.

Purchased this for my son since his older brother has one and we really needed another for long trips in the car. Great battery life, and the screen really is way better than the original model. Also, Mario Kart is always a preferred game, especially for competitive kids. Was a worthy purchase, no regrets at all.
