Nintendo Switch is a great handheld gaming system!

I got it for my dad who has to commute to work, he loves it. it is very compact and light when traveling and it has great graphics when playing on a tv screen.

There's nothing quite like the Nintendo Switch. What makes it unique is that it does what its name suggests - it switches. It switches between being played like a usual console on the television and playing it as a portable handheld as well as a small portable video screen that one or multiple people can play on. Even the controllers have "switchability" and can be used in different ways. I like the Nintendo Switch because it is a neat concept and it works. So far, I've been enjoying the new Zelda game, which is incredible. I've never played Zelda much but this game is quite an open world adventure...like being in a whole other world. My kids enjoy playing 1-2 Switch with each other and guests who come over. We also enjoy playing Bomberman and Snipperclips. However, I remember the Wii U being much more enjoyable when it first came out. I don't know why that console did not do well. Maybe people just didn't know what it was or it was not promoted as well. When we got the Wii U, the game Nintendoland was such a huge hit at parties and when we have people over. You could play that for hours and still have quite a blast. And that game came with the console! The Switch has no game that comes with it. You have to shell out more $ for games to play. Also, as cool as 1-2 Switch and Bomberman are, they lose their appeal after a shorter time. The only game so far that you can play for hours is Zelda, and that's a 1 person game. Even Bomberman, which costs a lot, does not even compare to the Bomberman on the Wii U that didn't cost much at all. The Bomberman that was available for download on the Wii U had sooo many more modes and customizations that it made it a lot more fun. So my only complaint for the Switch is...what's with the lack of games? I wish they had come out with a party game that came with the console that blew everyone away - like Nintendoland for the Wii U. And there's not many games to play right now, especially with other people. I watched the commercials and it looked so fun bringing it to places where you can play with others. That's what I envisioned but I have yet to go to a random park, set that Switch on the table, and played with friends or random people, bringing the world together. If and when that day comes, then I think the Switch would have accomplished what it set out to do. Overall, I like the Switch. It's cool to have, it's new and has a neat concept and lives up to its name. Now does it live up to its potential? We'll just have to wait for more games to come out to see.

Nintendo spearheaded a resurgence of video games in the US market which continues to this day on the principles of their games and systems having a broad approachability, and a fun, toy-like spirit. The Switch is true to those values, being a portable system that doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Not a movie streaming device, not a social media hub, just games all the way to its core. It has a terrific pick-up-and-play magnetism and its support for couch multiplayer harkens back to when multiplayer games were fun, and not some high-stakes competitive event. Highly recommended if you fly a lot, no matter your age- the hours will melt away like a mouthful of chocolate.

My 7 year old saved his Christmas, birthday and chores money to buy one. After having enough $$$, it was actually difficult finding one within 250 miles. We located one, purchased online and went and picked it up. Instant hit. All our family loves it and the portability is perfect. So much easier than dragging around an entire gaming console. Limited games right now, but hoping for new releases in the near future!

The Nintendo switch is the perfect gift for your friends. It is an easy to use console and also is perfect for social gaming. The mobility of it makes any almost any location a perfect place to set up shop with your friends and have a fun time gaming. Personally, I like to take mine to work so that once my coworkers and I clock off we can start up a game to wind down.

It’s just fun. Whether you play with a group or just alone. You can’t beat the Mario games. For all the different games, the price can’t be beat either. I’ve owned 2, and I just keep going back.

I have used it mainly in the console mode attached to my 55 in TV. It is a fun system with a good selection of games. I do recommend upgrading to the Nintendo Pro Controller as the joy cons do suffer from drift.

Great system. very portable for single or multi player. Of course it doesn't come with games so pick one up or you'll be stuck downloading demos or Free to plays.

My niece had wanted this in the summer but it would disappear so quickly. I finally was able to get it for Christmas and she loves it. Now when her cousin goes over they have something to keep them busy for quite a long time. Games are very interesting and look like fun. Think I'm going to try it myself and I'm in my 70's. LOL

Another great Christmas gift for the kid. Portable and yet very powerful to use as a consol when needed. Turns out to be fun for the whole family as well with some games.

The switch is revolutionary. The ability to take console level games like Breath of the Wild anywhere is an incredible feat. And the switch does it so seamlessly. Putting it in and out of the dock is incredibly easy. The joycons are surprisingly comfortable, whether on the console or individually in each hand. They even work quite nicely for multiplayer holding them sideways, and I have pretty large hands. Everything is just so seamless and well thought out. It took some time with the console to realize all the benefits it actually brings to the table. My wife and I bring it to restataunts and play snipperclips while we wait for food. I can play it at work over lunch. I can bring it to my friends house and have much easier LAN parties than in the past where I had to bring my 360 and a screen to be able to play. Now all I need to bring is this tablet sized device and we are ready to play. It is a wonderful console and I would recommend it to anyone
