    Phone works perfect

This phone is small, but the screen is easy to read. I have T-Mobile Pay as you Go account--removed sim card from old phone, plugged in here--works perfect-kept minutes, etc. I installed NETTALK, now I can use any WIFI network available to make free outgoing calls--not using any minutes. This is different than WIFI calling, also on this phone, but that DOES use minutes!! It is able to be set-up so any applications will use ONLY free WIFI to update data, weather, contact sync, email, twitter--etc. This is just what I wanted! I also love built in GPS and Google map integration. Just added 16 GB internal micro SD card, can PRELOAD maps for any 10 mile area--(or several)--so I can use for directions while traveling without needing WIFI all the time! In other words, I can use the phone a ton without using any T-mobile minutes!! The phone is also nice for pictures and music--just drag and drop to micro SD card, or tether with micro usb cable!

I just bought the HTC Wildfire S from best buy and it's a pretty good phone so far. One thing that isn't great, which happens on every phone, is the previously downloaded apps that you dont need but can't delete. Also, it's not a very big phone so that takes a little getting used to.. But the worst part is that the volume, even maximized, is VERY low for ringtones AND while talking... I highly dislike that. Other than that, I like the phone and am happy with my buy.

    Awesome for the price

This phone replaced an HTC Evo Shift 4G (which itself replaced an HTC Hero CDMA, so this is my second 3.2" phone). I get easily twice the battery life of the Shift with much more fluid day-to-day operations. The camera app is slow and the phone doesn't have a flashlight, but for the light-volume browsing, google reader activity, and reading of email that I do, this is a great fit. The only two serious problems are that the capacitive keys are too close to the screen, making the keyboard kind of hard to use in portrait orientation, and the available storage space is limited to something like 115 megabytes. By rooting the phone and using an app like Link2SD, that problem is alleviated, but if you expect to use a lot of apps without rooting, you need to buy a different phone.

    Great little phone

I really like my little HTC Wildfire S. It's so small and compact, I can carry it on my hip in a belt clip and I hardly notice it's there. IC Beyond Cell makes a cool snap on rubberized black case that slides into a small holster that works great with this phone. The screen is almost too small when typing but it works, and for me, the compact size is a good trade off. I've had varying success with the camera quality. Some pictures have come out very nice but others a bit blurry. The only real complaint I have is that the battery drains rather quickly but since I only use the phone a few times a day, I'm only having to recharge it a few times a week. Overall very glad I purchased this phone. I had been waiting a long time for something just like this.

    Poor internal memory

The phone overall quality is pretty good. It's solid built and seems to be very robust. The main problem is the low internal memory. The phone already comes with as low as 50mb free memory and install the FB app for example, and you get the "Low Memory Space" forever. I have the impression that the SD card is just worthless as it will only store music, photos and some apps. I would also mention the low battery life. Even for an smartphone, it seems to be pretty low.

My review is specially for all those users who complain of the 150mb limited internal memory. First of - this is a phone not a super computer, Second its a smartphone - use a task killer to avoid unnecessary usage of memory. After all who uses all apps at the same time ??? Having come from using an iphone this is my first android & I am really impressed with how little yet intelligent this phone is. It feels so light in my pocket and its loaded with features.....I'm really impressed with this little HTC. Its Superfun !

Good Phone, Battery life could be better

It is a really good phone with some really nice features. It is my first Android phone and I love it. I'll probably always have an Android from this point forward. The only real downfall is the battery life. I have to charge the phone once or twice per day and again overnight.

    Excellent phone ruined

This is another in a long line of android phones completely ruined by the limited internal memory. If you install any apps at all you'll not even be able to install system updates due to lack of memory. Battery life is poor as with most android phones if you sync mail or facebook. Battery will not even last the day. If you don't care about installing apps then you will be very happy with this phone. You will need to install the available system updates to resolve some bugs with the phone however.

Nice camera, good loading speeds, nice features,a little on the small side but nice for traveling. On the whole a very good phone you will need an SD card, hard storage isn't great.

    Could be better

I guess it's like any normal smartphone and doesn't hold a very good charge. It would lose charge after sending just a couple messages.
