The first Tablo I received was apparently damaged, something was rattling around inside the box, and it would not function properly. I called Tablo support and got a voice mail prompt asking me to leave name, number, etc and saying "I will call you back." I," not we...sounded odd. I waited a day, and no one called. So, I exchanged for a second device. After setting it up, it appeared to work ok and downloaded my local stations. A couple of days later, I went to use the device and all programming was gone! I attempted to download again, but the device didn't download anything. Several attempts, no results. At this point, I still had not had a return phone call! I tried email to reach Tablo support, got an auto-response that I would get a reply within 24 hours. That never happened. Customer support at Tablo apparently is only an illusion. The Tablo experience for me was complete waste of time!

This DVR is one of the best out there. I just switched from Tivo Romeo OTA. So much better. Instead of paying Tivo’s $15/mo, you can use Tablo for free. Tablo gives you the option to pay for additional services for only $5/mo or $50/YR. These services include a 14 day guide, automatic commercial skip, and out of home streaming for your smart device. Best of all, it works on my Apple TV. No more need for switching inputs. I got everything in one spot. Also, you do not even need to have working external internet to watch Tablo on your smart tv. If the internet is out but your router still generates your local network, then you can still stream, record, and watch all your channels and shows!

When I was deciding to completely cut the cord I needed to chose between the Tablo and the tv in order to record regular tv. I went with the tablo because of its easy to use, it is a whole home DVR because you can use it with roku and firetv. I would suggest this for any cord cutter.

The Tablo 4 tuner DVR works great along with the antenna. Have it connected with a new Apple TV streaming unit. Looking forward to the new Tablo app for Apple TV, hopefully coming soon. Should have made the purchase months ago. In the end, will save hundreds of dollars by not have a cable/satellite subscription anymore.

Works great so far, just added an external HD and now I have my own OTA DVR system.

in cutting the cord there was no way to get a try dvr system. Tablo solves that problem exponentially. i have been extremely impressed with everything from the interface to the customer service. Don't hesitant to purchase cause its a great device/service

I decided to cancel cable and got this instead. I love the dvr which allows me to record my favorite shows and watch them later. Had some problems in the beginning, but things are working well now...as long as the weather cooperates. Had to spend some money up front for this and an antenna but I’m saving over $100 per month vs. cable!

Already had Fire TVs in every room so I replaced my 3 room TiVo setup with this Tablo 4 tuner DVR and couldn't be happier. I can access it from all of my Fire TVs and the lifetime subscription is only $149.99 and the TiVo subscription was $149.99 yearly.

This is sooooo awesome. It lets you easily watch recorded TV over an antenna over Wifi, you can even watch live TV. With a LOT of work you can get it to set up so you can watch it away from wifi!

If you don't mind the $5 per month charge to give you the online updates..this unit hooks to your antenna and to the Internet to stream shows to your TV..However poor support if you have a Samsung smart TV.

Easy to easy and can record up to 4 channels at once (wife needed that). I have it connected to a RCA ANT752 attic antenna and the Tablo is located in an attic bedroom and wifi to router. Haven't had any issues recording or watching live antenna TV. Bought the Tablo guide for $35/year and that works very similar to cable.

I just purchased this device and so far the only complaint I have was the set up. I did have a little trouble setting it up. I would recommend buying this DVR.

It works great with a roku and an ipad. Airplay to my Apple TV doesn't work well at all and is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

I have a 2 tuner tablo and love it. I work alot and it grabs the shows that I love. I bought this 4 tuner so I can record other shows that my kids like to watch while mine are recording. The only problem that I have with the tablo is that there are times it wont load a show so I end up going back to it at another time to watch it.

When I decided to cancel my DirectTV subscription, I stumbled upon this 4-tuner Tablo device. Luckily, I already had an external 2 TB hard drive that I was not using which provides the add-on of a DVR for recording up to 4 TV shows simultaneously. I connected an antenna to the Tablo for local over-the-air channels (HD channels included) and I connected the Tablo to my home network via Wi-Fi. Finally, I added the Tablo app to each Ruko or SmartTV in my house and now I can access local channels from every TV and I have a whole house DVR. Using this device for local TV and the Sling app, I have no regrets about cancelling DirectTV or cable. I went from having a bill in excess of $140/mo with channels that I never watched to a current bill that is less than $60/mo. This was a great decision for me.

Followed directions, set up was very easy. I have had tablo DVR for about a month now. Not one hiccup. I have recorded about 150 programs and converted to mp4's using the tablo ripper program. I love it...highly recommend

Sounded like a great idea. I get about 60 over the air stations. DVR of them sounded great. When setting up product, it required zip code to exclude channels. Entered my two local zips. Didn't recognize them. Went to nearest bigger community, used all 7 zip codes, no deal. Used Tulsa OK where our TV stations are out of, entered ALL 52 zips. Device and app had no idea we existed. Just to test a theory, went with Oklahoma City (A city of 4 MILLION people). Entered 76 zip codes. The App is convinced that the ENTIRE STATE OF OKLAHOMA DOES NOT EXIST. Tech support - wait 17-27 BUSINESS days and we will enter your area in the database. NOPE!!! Sorry. $27 PVR does the same job as you almost $300 product without all the aggravation.

Easy to use and setup. Great whole house DVR. We wanted something that would replace our cable but give us the ability to pause and record live local tv. We have been using it for over a month and we aren't missing cable at all

works nice with iPad. Roku works fine with it too. Easy hookup

These units have a design flaw. They get hot. Which causes it to malfunction. Repeated emails went unanswered. Researched online and found many customers complaining about them overheating as well. Solution was to buy a USB powered laptop cooling pad. That solved the problem, however for the price you pay for this item, they could have designed them with more vents for cooling.
