A good alternative to cable tv or satellite dish. Has a few quirks but all in all it's probably the best alternative. Tivo is good too, better in some ways but for a low tv guide price and hooking up multiple TV's, you really can't beat a Tablo.

Ordered this item three times. First two arrived damaged (poor packaging - Product original box in bubble padded plastic envelope). Third one works perfectly. Return was easy at Best Buy (note: this item needs to be returned within 15 days of purchase, NOT deliver date). I would give higher stars if first one worked.

Interface is not great. Can't watch a program while searching for another program. Finding programs is not so easy. May work for some, but I ended up with the Tivo Roamio after trying this and a couple other tuners.

This device allows us to stream local stations to different devices all around our home without running wires. Sometimes its a little slow in activating, but once broadcast starts, its clear and steady.

Have to reset occasionally but is easy to reset. Once connected to my network it works good except for occasional reset.

This DVR has tremendous potential, great features, and is a great idea. In reality, however, it did not deliver - for me anyway. Initial setup was awkward and time-consuming. Most effort went into establishing a wi-fi connection. Once connected, I was disappointed at the segue from channel to channel. I did realize there would be "buffering" behavior while changing channels but waiting for the channel to finally tune put my liberal tolerance for new technology to the test. Secondly, I knew my wife would be complaining the first time she changed channels. This unit needs to go back into beta testing. I am much happier with my Channel Master DVR.

So happy I cut the cord! I am enjoying my OTA channels and streaming and saving! Now, I can record OTA as well! Perfect!

Tablo is easy to use & is exactly what I was looking for as a replacement for DVD recorder.

we cut the cord however wife still wanted to record, the unit fit the bill, expensive upfront, but worth it

Did a lot of research on both cloud based and physical devices, purchased the Tablo 4 tuner and so far am very happy.

Being able to record local channels with the many programs available greatly complements my Roku

Full featured digital video recorder for over the air antennas. Easy to use.and setup! Would recommend!

The software updates have been great! Changing channels is faster and programming via roku remote is so good that I don't need to login with laptop/PC they all work great. And uses latest JavaScript tools/frameworks for best experience. Thank you!

I really wanted to like the Tablo. I like the concept of recording TV shows and then streaming them to any TV, mobile device, or computer without restrictions. The software looks slick during demos on YouTube, but in reality, it is slow and only has very basic DVR features. The picture quality is not that good even after increasing the recording quality. I grew tired of waiting for live TV and recorded shows to start playing. In the end, I bought the TiVo Roamio OTA and have been very happy with the purchase ever since. Keep in mind that you will need to buy a TiVo Stream and perhaps a TiVo Mini to get some of the same features as Tablo TV, but the performance of TiVo far outweighs the additional cost.

This was everything I expected based on what I read.

I liked the concept, but it was lacking in some areas. I would buy again if the problems get fixed in the future.

I highly recommend this unit. The recording quality is excellent when matched with the right antenna and placement. I tried creating my own DVR using a Raspberry Pi and it was fun but I could never get it to record correctly. Anyway don't waste any more time buy this one.

Not much to say here. Easy to setup, the TV Guide is 100% better than any of the Satellite providers and the tech support is great. I'm not missing my old dish one bit and we are saving a lot of money.

Always reloading and going off. Ok if you have patience and are ok with losing your shows once in a while. BUT it saves you a lot of money . You only purchase one time where cable and satellite is 80.00 per month.
