Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the ease of use, WiFi connectivity, recording flexibility, and picture quality of the DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi. Many appreciate the simple setup and the commercial skip feature, but some users experienced issues with buffering, occasional heat generation, and reception problems. The need for an external hard drive for storage is also a recurring theme. While the interface and program guide are generally well-received, performance inconsistencies were reported by a few users.

Tablo - DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does exactly what you want it to do. Provides a nice guide for OTA channels and allows you to attach a hard drive if you want to record OTA channels. Requires a subscription, but can purchase a lifetime subscription to avoid monthly charges. I'm running the app on Roku and TIVO (Android).

Whole house dvr with app
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this hooked it up to my antenna, pulled in about 63 channels then connected to my WiFi and 4tb portable hard drive. So far so good. Have taped several shows and watched them in various rooms. Quality isn’t bad. Have it set to 1080p which requires decent internet. I have 200mpbs. It can be a bit slow when calling up a show recorded at 1080 but once it loads in about 5-6 secs it does not skip. Also can skip commercials.

Awesome OTA DVR!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I connected the tablo to a good outdoor antenna and receive and can record 17 channels in HD! Just aim antenna and scan for channels, all for free. I also like that thru your home internet you are able to view live TV and recordings and setup recordings away from home on your smartphone, Fire TV, and Roku.

Great Device but deceptive add-on pricing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Tablo is a great device. A bit of a pain if you dont pay for the Guide Subscription. Given what the Subscription offered up until now, I felt it was worth it and purchased the lifetime subscription. NOW, after purchasing it, they are removing a feature they are now calling a premium feature (commercial skip) and want to charge MORE for something that I thought I already paid for with the one-time-lifetime purchasing BAIT AND SWITCH. This should not have been removed for anyone that has purchased a LifeTime Subscription so far. DECEPTIVE PRICING, UNFAIR.

Fantastic Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is a DVR for over-the-air TV broadcasts. It has worked perfectly. I also got some Amazon Fire Sticks to play the Tablo on and ran Ethernet cables (hardwired) to connect the TV's to the router. The picture is very clear and I'm able to operate the Tablo at the highest resolution. I also disconnect my DirecTV service saving a bunch too.

Does exactly what I need it to do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I'm very pleased. I can record and watch TV via my antenna and it works great. I get all my local channels. Not sure if I will use the guide subscription but right now I couldn't be more pleased. I have the device hard wired to my router and so far it has worked great.

Great Over the Air DVR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are trying to cut the cord on cable and this is a great start. We can get all of our local channels with our antenna and there are many sub-channels that are an added bonus. We can pause and rewind and record. You have to add an external hard drive for it to work. We have a Roku and it works well through it. Love it.

Awesome DVR for off-air TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cut the cord and purchased this to replace satellite DVR. A little clunky to use but works great! Only issue is you have to pay extra to skip commercials and enhanced recording options. Remember to purchase an external hard drive to record to. Luckily I already had a 1 TB hard drive.

Cord-cutter's delight!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this OTA DVR! This is the 2 tuner model, you can upgrade to a 4 tuner model. Please note that you will need an external hard drive for your recordings. Great for those who are cutting the cord. Wifi or Ethernet. Broadcasts to all your Smart Devices/Roku. Highly recommend this Tablo!

Overall Good Performer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the most part, this was a worthwhile purchase. The set up was physically simple; however, establishing an internet connection was less so, and can't be easily completed if your router has a VPN. Performance has been steady but it takes a good 7-10 (sometimes more) seconds to change channels. Also, be ready to pay a subscription for the guide - I don't know how it's going to work without one.

Fantastic quality, affordable price....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the demise of locast I was looking to leverage the roof-mounted digital antenna I installed a few years ago; but with the convenience of being able to stream through my Roku's. This unit was easy to set up and install and the broadcast quality, once I adjusted the bit rate is amazingly good on just about every device I connected it to. Currently streaming 48 HDTV channels all in digital quality. You may have to adjust your firewall/router settings to accommodate the ports required to stream. But other than that its plug n play. Highly recommended.

I like it a lot
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second one I have bought. When I first got it the picture quality over my then cable provider was superior. I did not know my tv could look that good. We have cut the cord but we use it quite a bit. My wife can watch recorded programs over Wi-Fi on the Roku device upstairs.

Good DVR
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works fairly easily with my roku, in terms watching channels and scheduling recordings. Fast forwarding and rewinding recordings is not quite as convenient as with Dish (which we just dropped) but is pretty close. It takes up a lot less space than the old Dish DVR, even with the the external hard drive that you need. And with roku you have conveniences like private listening if you download the roku app on your phone or IPad.

WORKS ONE PROBLEM
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.IT WORKS AS IT SAYS IT DOES. EXCEPT FOR EVERY TIME IT LOSES SIGNAL IT WILL NOT START THE CHANNEL BACK UP AGAIN. YOU PHYSICAL HAVE TO GO BACK AND START THE CHANNEL AGAIN. SO WHEN THE CHANNEL SIGNAL DROPS JUST A BIT YOU LOSE IT. SO WHEN IT IS RECORDING IT STOPS. IF YOU HAVE GOOD SIGNAL IT WILL WORK GREAT. THEN I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. FOR ME IT DID'NT WORK

Simple setup, easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great! I haven’t tried connecting to the network using WiFi. I have it connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. I like the user interface on Apple TV and iOS devices. The guide is nice too. The receiver seems good.

Love that it works on multiple devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works exactly as described. Installs in minutes and you can put it in your home where you get the best reception. I can record and watch on any TV or my tablet when I am travelling. Exactly what I was looking for but be aware for out of home connectivity you will need their reasonably priced subscription.
