Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the ease of use, WiFi connectivity, recording flexibility, and picture quality of the DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi. Many appreciate the simple setup and the commercial skip feature, but some users experienced issues with buffering, occasional heat generation, and reception problems. The need for an external hard drive for storage is also a recurring theme. While the interface and program guide are generally well-received, performance inconsistencies were reported by a few users.

The problem with this unit it wont last long it always breaks down in a short period of time. the guyed software is to slow for one thing. it was great before they add a software update since then it sucks. sometimes when it starts to go bad it wont record some shows but will record others. I think this is a good product to own its just the makers of this product still have some kinks to work out.

More practical than my TiVo Roamio OTA, but not as good as my HD Homerun (this last one had a hard drive failure, that's why I ordered the Tablo).

    Low-is video resolution, buggy software

Video resolution is only 720i (annoying to me and my wife compared to most over-the-air HD channels that broadcast in 1080p). Others may not be as fussy, but we did not like it. But even worse is the clumsy software that controls the Tablo on your streaming device (Roku on 2 of our TVs , FireTV on one). The human interface is awkward, at best, to both select a broadcast channel to view live and to control the DVR to record a program / program series for later viewing and then go back and view the recorded program/s.

This a great addition to your over the air antenna. It quickly scans the available channels and then allows you to pick your favorites so you don't have to scan through a bunch of channels you don't need. I especially like the channel skip feature on recordings. which makes watching sports and movies a breeze. The DVR function works well and has more options than most streaming services.

Functionality was good. Buffering was not an issue. However, the antenna couldn't pick up all the OTA channels and had to return it. Not a fault of the unit however

Works on and off, but mostly not at all. Seemed to work better during the first two weeks, but when free subscription ended, TV shows would not record giving me an error message indicating poor signal. Troubleshooting guide was helpful, but did not resolve the issue. My TV antenna had great reception but as soon as I tried to record, fuzzy or no reception. I tried on three TVs with same results.

I now have 2 Tablos at 2 locations. They both work great at placing broadcast TV from the HD antenna to all TVs in the home.
