A must have for over the air TV.

The subscription to this service is well worth the price. Puts the finishing touches to cutting the cable.

Wish it worked better for us

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of a WiFi DVR for over the air TV, but we seem to have a lot of irritating little problems such as broadcasts being lost mid program, having to reconnect tablo frequently, etc. Maybe not all hardware related--our TV signals may be less reliable, and our home WIFI may not have enough bandwidth. It just doesn't work great for us so far.

Works well once set up

Software is ok, but glitchy at times. Have been able to stream OTA TV to various computers around the house, but use it less and less as the family doesn't watch broadcast TV much anymore.

Will still need a GOOD antenna

Overly complicated

With my limited ability with things electronic, I had trouble setting it up. In addition some sort of subscription is required in order to download the local TV schedule. I couldn’t get the schedule for my area. Returned it.

Tablo is the best OTA DVR

Make sure your home network is good and fast and hardwire the unit with Ethernet and you will have a good experience. Paired with an Antennas Direct Clear stream 4Max, get all channels in my area.

Where has this been all my life!

THIS device saved the day! I didnt have to run antenna cables all over the house. This unit works well with the Antenna Direct 60 Mile range antenna (in my location) setup outside the house off the eve of the roof.

Slow, buggy hardware

Have to dismiss the message and select the channel again. Switching between channels is slow; and the UI isn't intuitive, need too many clicks to perform simple functions.
