Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the ease of use, WiFi connectivity, recording flexibility, and picture quality of the DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi. Many appreciate the simple setup and the commercial skip feature, but some users experienced issues with buffering, occasional heat generation, and reception problems. The need for an external hard drive for storage is also a recurring theme. While the interface and program guide are generally well-received, performance inconsistencies were reported by a few users.

Works as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit updated to newest firmware during setup and recognized and formatted my hard drive right away. After playing with antenna placement and orientation, I get all channels I expected nice and clear. Streaming to Roku and nVidia Shield is perfect as is DVR capability. I placed in attic with a 6 ft coax run to antenna and connected directly to my router.

Easy to set up and use right off the antenna.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I setup the unit through my ROKU account. It was very easy to setup and get going. You do need to use an external storage device to record. Also, you do need to pay for an account if you want more than 24 hours of programming capability. It does not come with a remote so I use my ROKU remote.

Okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reason why I purchased this Tablo DVR after that I cut the cord about three to four years ago, was because I like to record the TV programs that I missed and to get better reception with my OTA HD Antenna. But, I wasn't happy with it due to the lack of TV reception and buying a USB memory stick. So, that is why I returned it.

Easy Set Up
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works which is more than I can say for some of the competitors products. It was fairly easy to set up and doesn't require a smart phone. It seems to work well. If you set it to record only new episodes it may not always you may not get all the new episodes. Kind of expensive for not having any built in memory.

Tablo - DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Tablo - DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi . I have a life time account with Tablo from one I have bought before. I could not get it to work right and then it completely quit working on me. I really like for what it does so I am going to try this new one. I hope I have better luck with this one.

Excellent for cord cutters
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tuner works well, but the app is not available for Vizio. The app for Amazon Firestick works very well. The cost difference between this tuner and the Amazon recast was enough to make up my mind. I think the recast might be a better product, but I have not used it.

Meets our needs well!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We still have a cable subscription (Spectrum), but on Wednesday evenings, we have shows at the same time on two different networks (local affiliates of major networks). So, we bought this to record one show while watching another. For the most part, it works well. Although occasionally, on playback we experience buffering. Yet, the last recording we watched had no buffering issues whatsoever. It does what we need to have done.

Great for DVRing Over the air
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently ditched satellite and started streaming with Roku, and I added this unit with a 2TB drive to record OTA tv. Works great, the tuners allow 2 simultaneous recordings, and they picked up all the local channels, as well as some more distant ones my TV didn’t get, using a Terk directional antenna. Very happy, great picture quality.

Great device for cord cutters!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was easy to set up and use. Replacement for Windows Media Center on Windows 7 PC, which served its purpose very well for several years. Small Tablo unit is replacing desktop PC, and two USB ATSC tuners. Was able to use existing external hard drive for Tablo recording. Tablo has been great at streaming to Roku players on multiple TVs, both recordings and live TV. Have Tablo guide subscription for OTA, has been very accurate with recordings. Tablo tuners picking up all local OTA channels in Pittsburgh area, have had no issue with signal quality, I am using a coax amplifier from my antenna. Tablo has been updated twice with enhancements since I have owned (now has automatic commercial skip!). Still some enhancements I would like to see, but it is a great device.

Great solution for local stations and DVR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Base functionality is great. Easy to get to your recordings. The applications used to connect to it could be improved to allow better/easier channel surfing as well as more feed back on station signal in real time. Also it will be nice to have a way to monitor the Network and hard drive used

Meeting my expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I am really liking the Tablo. The tuner is good and seems to get almost all the stations that my TV tuner did. The DVR feature is what I bought it for and it really works well. I did have some problems getting it to work at first because I was using a 256 gig thumb drive. Tablo did not work with that drive and kept having disconnects, lags and buffering. After checking the Tablo support, I realized that Tablo says the unit will not work with thumb drives. I bought a 1 Terabyte WD external drive and now the Tablo works perfectly. The commercial skip feature is really nice when it works though it seems to be in the beta phase right now.

Wonderful idea for obtaining over-the-air TV.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Tablo - DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi is a Wonderful idea for obtaining over-the-air TV from an antenna to multiple TVs via Roku and for recording live TV. I have had this device for a month and am very satisfied with it.

Serves the purpose!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this device in an attempt to 'cut the cord' from cable, but turns out our antenna signal at our house is crappy from the stations I wanted. So It is currently hooked up, but we still have cable. I think for the device itself though, it is somewhat easy to use and would serve the purpose for those cord cutters who live in a better area where antenna signal is better.

Great little box to stream OTA shows.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoying this little box. DVR handy for recording shows and watching later in the day. Paying extra $4.99 for 14 day guide makes recording movies easier. No longer need a TV tuner on computer, just load the Tablo app and I can watch TV shows on my phone, desktop, laptop, or Fire TVs. Looking forward to trying the Out-Of-Home viewing. Short power cord can be an issue for placement of OTA antenna .

Good Manufacturer, Good support.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For "full disclosure"....I've been a customer of TabloTV for almost as long as they've been offered. 1) Their guide costs 1/3 per month that of Tivo, and can be bought lifetime. 2) Their system allows you to watch your home TV antenna and recorded programs on rokus, phones, tablets, and many other devices, probably the most versatile list of ways to take "home TV" with you there is. 3) Even their Email tech support is quick and helpful, which brings me to the 'rest of the story.' Bought this box thinking my original Tablo was having issues. Turned out, it was not. There was a glitch in my hardware ATTACHED to the Tablo, namely the hard drive of my own selection that caused an issue. Once that hard drive was replaced, there was NO issue, and I continue to enjoy my 4-tuner TabloTV. This particular unit was factory reset, lovingly re-boxed as it was when it arrived, and returned. I could, however have kept it on my same network, named it a different name than the original one I still use, and operated it by simply selecting WHICH Tablo box I wanted to remotely watch in-house or on the go. There's an official Tablo app, and...a fan of the company has put out "OTA2GO" as an app, allowing Tablo users to download programs directly to their phones for recorded viewing anywhere by taking the recordings along. While not a TABLO official app, the company does indeed approve of customers using it, knowing it's a 3rd party app. When you add Tablo boxes like this (2 or 4 tuner) to your home network, you're in for an over the air treat! Especially if your home uses Roku or Amazon fire devices. Highly recommend TabloTV boxes, and their company.

Great OTA Distribution
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As advertised and works great with my home network. Your signal is only as good as your antenna...but once its in the house this thing handles the rest. Just buy a portable hard drive to go with it

Nice way to distribute OTA throughout the house
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit quickly setup with external HDD (not included) to pick up OTA signal, record shows and share throughout the house on our smart TVs. The only drop from 5 stars is that the directory service is only included for 30 days after which you have to subscribe. Without, recording is more like an old school VCR (based solely on channel and time).

Best OTA DVR !!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased Tablo Dual Lite on sale and applied $20 gift card and paid $80 plus tax. I attached a rabbit ears antenna and a 320Gb USB drive. I had an issue connecting it to my wired network. Finally after doing some investigative work (around 30 minutes) found the solution: Press the blue reset button!!! WHY WAS THIS NOT IN THE INSTALLATION GUIDE??? What a waste of time!!!! I have been using it for over 2 weeks now and it works wonders!!! The menu is easy to use, the response to menu selections is very quick and recordings do not seem to use a lot of storage. I recently saw the Tablo Quad on sale for $180 and feel disappointed that I was not able to catch this sale before buying the dual unit, but I am happy with the present unit.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tablo does everything it says it does. Great picture quality with decent antenna and allows you to record two things at once. Simple setup and easy to use. Definitely recommend paying for the service, you will not go back to cable after using this product.

for cutting the cord
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cut the cord from cable and using the Tablo to record my local OTA shows. The user manual could have been laid out better such as when to turn the TV on or an actual step by step list. Took me a couple hours to set up. The online guide is clunky and needs some reworking. Will know more in the morning if programs I set for recording actually recorded.
