Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the ease of use, WiFi connectivity, recording flexibility, and picture quality of the DUAL LITE OTA DVR with WiFi. Many appreciate the simple setup and the commercial skip feature, but some users experienced issues with buffering, occasional heat generation, and reception problems. The need for an external hard drive for storage is also a recurring theme. While the interface and program guide are generally well-received, performance inconsistencies were reported by a few users.

OTA DVR for cord cutters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Tablo Dual Lite allows the user to easily stream and record live TV from a hdtv antenna. It works with any Over-the-Air TV antenna, and supports external USB hard drives up to 8TB, which provides approximately 2,000 hours of HDTV recording storage. It uses either dual-band Wi-Fi or Ethernet to connect to your home network so you can place your TV antenna in the best location for OTA signal reception. Works with almost all streaming devices (I use Roku). I connected an external 2tb hard drive and have a Tablo Guide subscription, which allows remote viewing when away from home. My Tablo resides in my media room and sends local tv signals to all networked tvs (via wireless Roku devices). If you have local channel availability, this is a must have for those of us who have cut the cord.

Works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device works as advertised. Setup is easy and two weeks in I had a problem that Tablo support helped me diagnose. Turns out it was my home network and not the device. I can watch off air tv on my mobile devices and all my smart TVs. Couldn’t get the app on my older Samsung TVs but no issue with Apple TV and Amazon Firestcks. I recommend to anyone thinking about cord cutting. Bye DirecTV!

Good OTA recorder
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't have cable, use some internet based media, but wanted something to catch national shows, works well, can view on different devices, have an android TV and found an app for it so can watch directly through TV, no casting.

Works better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple setup and it does what it says - streams live TV. Two things that aren't great are a) the channel tuning sometimes takes a few seconds and b) there are occasional drop outs of signal - at least at my house. But since I don't have cable and want to watch OTA on my projector, this is a fine solution.

Does a decent job
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes getting used to a few things I do not like such as fast forwarding live TV doesn't give a preview so have to guess. Also not Good for channel surfing as it takes a few seconds to tune in. Does a great job at recording and 1tb hdd holds a lot of shows.

Good DVR but requires Subscription
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this to replace my TIVO which is a terrible device and is always having problems. Attached a Western Digital USB drive I had and have been very pleased with the result. Good recording quality. The only thing to keep in mind is that it requires a subscription for the TV guide if you wish to record future events.

Amazing device!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can now watch shows on any device in my house - and even watch shows on my phone while traveling! Picture quality is 4/5 and the interface is very easy to use.

I prefer Tablo DUAL 128GB Over-The-Air DVR
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device works great for interfacing my antenna to my Roku and allows for all TV's to access the antenna. Unfortunately it requires an external hard drive to operate properly which will cost you and extra $40-$50. That may be fine if you wanna DVR a bunch, but I don't so I returned this item and instead opted for the Tablo DUAL 128GB Over-The-Air DVR, which has limited internal memory, no need for an external hard drive. BTW - I had serious issues with the Silicon Dust HD Homerun Connect Duo HDHR5-2US with my Roku - jittery picture and no sound, even though I have Deco M9 mesh wifi that shows speeds over the wifi of over 350Mbs and my internet speed is over 200Mbs.

Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this Tablo. I get great pictures and it was easy to set up and use. Attach the antenna and scan for channels and you're ready to go. You do need an external hard drive to record but it's well worth it.

If you want to cut the cable-this is the way!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We put off getting rid of cable for so long, and now I wonder why. The OTA antenna gets all of the channels that we would want to watch. The Tablo works with our Roku and we can stream everything throughout the house. We can record, pause live TV and skip commercials on recorded shows. This is as good as it gets. Fairly easy to set up once Comcast got our modem finally working right. They were the biggest issue and I'm so glad to be away from them and saving money in the long run. Worth the initial outlay to save over time.

Excellent DVR for this Cord-Cutter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this thing and at the very minimum it lets all my tvs get live tv from one antenna, and they can access any recordings. More positives include: scheduled recordings (my wife can still watch the Bachelor the night it airs- w/o commercials), and a new use for a 500gb external drive I wasn’t using. Saves me from subscribing to another service as I get all CW, NBC, & CBS shows in HD. Have been recommending it to friends amd family who want to cord-cut.

Great product but you need reception
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My intention was to use a window antenna with te unit but didn’t have much success. The reception wasn’t the best. I believe it would have worked great if not for the reception in my apartment.

Exactly what I needed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This small device is great! I don’t often say this but it actually exceeded my expectations. From watching live over the air TV to recording shows to watch later, everything has worked seemlessly so far. I’m using it with Fire tv devices across my home and it does the job. I’ve been impressed with the responsiveness. I was worried given all the devices required to make it work (HD antenna, external hard drive, streaming device, etc), but I’ve had no issues. Perfect for sports....I haven’t missed a World Cup match yet.

Great device for recording live TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Tablo with two tuners about 30 days ago and I am very pleased. I bought the newest one out because it has the fastest internet connection. I plugged in a 4T hard drive and recorded about 20 movies and I still have 3.8T left. I paid for the extra 14 day tv guide which helps out when figuring out which movies to watch or record. It will let you know if you are going to record a movie that overlaps another but it would be even better if it would tell you which one it is overlapping. That way you could choose which one to record. The tuner picks up the antenna signal better than my tv's. Over all I really like this Tablo device.
