This is a grid-based Tactics game, like Final fantasy Tactics or Disgaea, if you're familiar with those. This one came before those, though. This is a remake of an older game and it's all 2D, which is one of its downsides. You can't rotate the camera, like in FFT, so you switch between 2D views when buildings get in the way or something, and they often do. Besides that, this is a great tactics game with tons of depth and challenge.

This game has so much nostalgia for me! About time they remake this classic! Such a great port!!

A classic redone well. If you liked the originals this is a must-have. Good Graphics and music, the story is good too.

Fantastic remaster of a classic, a pillar of the strategy JRPG genre. The full voice-acting is great and the developers streamlined the gameplay to make it flow better. Can be difficult at times but a great, multi-layered story about war and country.

Such a phenomenal game. Why did I wait so long! We have been going through a nostalgia kick and have been trying to get our hands on any game that we used to play or can simulate that same feelings and this is definitely one of those games. Love the artwork, the storyline is so good, and the little twist on the turn based battle is fun! Would definitely recommend!!

Graphics could have been a better, but the wonderful gameplay makes up for it. Strat RPG fans should snap this one up.

Excellent addition to the Switch library. One of the all-time classics of the genre is now available on modern platforms, with the bonus of portability for this particular edition.

So this is the third version of this game that i own now. If you're a tactics fan and somehow haven't played this yet then it's definitely time. One of the best stories of any tactics game and great systems in place for depth of customization amd combat. Totally worth it for a fan of the genre.

As a fan of Tactics games overall it was very refreshing to see an old classic come back with updates and quality of life improvements. Also, glad to see this voice acted as well. The mobile Switch option is the added advantage over other system versions which basically all look good. For anyone who believes Final Fantasy Tactics is the best strategy RPG that has existed from the company should give trailblazing Tactics Ogre a chance. It was an original IP at the time, and the beginning of this style of JRPG from Square Enix. FFT probably would not have existed or been as great without its predecessor.

50 hrs of gameplay, worth every penny. Traded back after finished (its a clasic so it maintains good value)

This is by far my favorite Ogre Battle game now. It reminds more of a Final Fantasy Tactic game than it does an Ogre Battle. If you like Tactics this game is worth a pick up. I also enjoyed this better than Triangle Strategy.

My husband loves final fantasy. Mainly final fantasy tatics. This is as close as he has been able to get on switch. Great game!

My first Tactics Ogre title was Ogre Battle 64. I absolutely loved the art style and the darker story. But, as I never had a PSP, that was the only title that I was able to play... Until now. I absolutely this game!

This remake is a throwback to the Final Fantasy Tactics style of Strategy Role Playing Games. I've enjoyed my time with the music, gameplay and story. My only real complaint is that map movement can only be done with the D-Pad. That's fine when using a Pro controller or one of the many 3rd party pads out there, but when playing handheld my left thumb hurts quite a bit using the tiny buttons as my primary interface. I hope Square Enix issues a patch to allow me to use the analog stick instead.

Great game. Great graphics, excellent strategic content, and fantastic story. Highly recommend.
