Liam Neeson just fits the father role, but this guy doesn't play around as soon as his daughter is kidnapped it is straight, intense; realistic action. You get so captivated in the search for his daughter that there is never a dull moment in the movie. Definite must buy on blu-ray.

I love movies, but many fall short of expectations. This one hits the mark in a big way. It is well written, cast well, the cinematography is great. There isn't a moment that drags. There is no fluff thrown in for the fun of it. This is a straight out movie that grabs you at the beginning and takes you through to the end.

This movie was one of the ones my husband picked out and did not think I would like it. When he put it in I could not keep my eyes off the screen. The stroyline was great. It keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time. This is a movie I would watch over and over again. GREAT MOVIE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This movie was one of the best I've ever seen. What Neeson does to those slave traders who took his daughter was justified punishment. The whole story about the parents being divorced was irrelevant. I can't wait for this movie to be released. I'll be there on 5-12-09 to buy my copy.

me and my wife both love this movie. weve both seen it 20 times and we still wanna see it more. the catch phrase is the best " i will find you and i will kill you" gives me goosebumps every time i hear it.

The third movie in the franchise has just come out in theaters, but this is the original. Liam Neeson reinvented his persona with this action movie, and has been playing a variation of this character for the past few years - and playing it well. My opinion is that this movie started his transition from leading man to action actor, and it is well worth a second viewing.

This movie leaves you on the edge of your seat. While you probably guess that he is going to get his daughter back, the events leading up to that point are what make this movie action-packed, taut, and sometimes funny to relieve the tension.

This movie is complete hit. That explains why it grossed $143 million. Liam Neesom acting was super. Neesom brings this physicality to the role of an retired CIA man brought back into action when his daughter is kidnapped in Paris. This a 97 minutes of breath taken action and Neesom is totally convincing in this role. This is a great flick to see! Highly recommended.

This is one of the better movies i have seen, it has a great plot, great story. This guy would be the perfect dad, and one gives you cr#p and he will find them. lol. This really is a great movie, i would recomend it to any one.

If you are looking for a good action movie this is it. this is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. The wat the story develops as the movie goes along is very good, well writing, and very well thought out.

By this time you should already know the plot without ever seeing the movie.Liam Nesson seems to keep his cool even when his daughter is being kidnapped.I don't know of any father,mother who would be that calm in a situation like that,but he was in the C.I.A. so I guess that's one of the lessons they teach,stay cool under pressure.Maggie Grace plays his daughter and she pretty believable even when kidnapped.His ex-wife played by Famke Janssen is believable as the common pain in the butt he deals with even when talking to his daughter about going to Paris with her friend Amanda.The plot is believable going overseas and being kidnapped and held against your will.But after the movie is over you don't feel like it was that important,watch the ending and tell me if you feel the same way.With that begin said it was a pretty balanced movie with the action and drama,but the ending needed some work.I say rent before you buy,but rent you must.

all around great movie. a (ex special forces) man's daughter is taken on a trip to europe. the movie consists of him killing he way to her. the action is amazing and liam neeson is great.

Taken is one of the underrated movie on 2008. This is a very good movie.

I enjoy all of the Taken movies and this first movie is what did it for me. After seeing this movie, I was hooked and wanted to see the rest.
