Tales of Vesperia is considered one of the best Tales Of games, and with good reason! This version includes a lot of awesome content that was only originally available in Japan. So whether you have never played it or are already familiar with it, there is something cool and awesome to discover here in an engaging story with great characters and fun combat

A great jrpg with semi co op playability. The story is excellent and is my favorite Tales that I've played.

Very good, Graphics with a even better story. The game battle system really is strong and different than traditional RPGs.

I remembered playing this game on my XBOX 360 when it first came out many many years ago. I was so happy that it was remastered and ported over to the Switch. Same great story and updated graphics is a huge bonus. Definitely worth playing all over again. One of the best Tales game ever created!

I loved Tales of Vesperia. I had never played a game in the series, but I had heard great things. The hype was certainly justified. The characters are lovable, the story is engrossing, and the combat is so, so much fun. If you're on the fence, get it. You won't regret your time in Vesperia.

Vesperia originally came out on the 360 and I missed it, but am almost glad I did. Playing it now on the switch is a great experience, and while I considered the PS4 version having it on the go lets to squeeze in more time here and there. Looks great, plays well and the story is pretty good.

This became my favorite Tales game when it originally released and remains my favorite after playing this port. It has a few issues that are dated, but it's still fantastic overall. If you're a fan of the series or JRPGs in general, I would highly recommend this game. It's a classic.

Even though the Switch version of this game might not be the most graphical impressive. It still makes up for it in its portability aspects. If you aren't bothered by a few frame rate drops here and there then I would recommend this version to just about every tales fan.

Tales of Vesperia is an absolute blast to play the new polished, shiny graphics for the remaster are nice and the soundtrack is great too! Story is lengthy and the choice of a sub or dub language option is very convenient :) a must play for jrpg fans!

This game is very similar to all the other Tales games. Fun combat and nice to have it on the Switch so I have another game to play on that besides Zelda. Can be a bit slow in developing but there is alot to do to keep you playing the game for hours.

This is my favorite game from the whole Tales Of saga. It was a real joy being able to play it again and this time on the go thanks to the Nintendo Switch. The story, music and gameplay are one of the best of his kind, totally worth buying it.

If you are a fan of Tales games, this is one of the best. And if you're a fan of JRPGs at all, you'll love this game! The story is interesting, the game play and graphics are great, and I personally love the ability to play co-op with your friends.

I love these types of RPGs and having it on the switch makes it awesome for when we are on the go. The story is really good and graphics run pretty well on the switch too. I didnt notice any drops in frame rates during my experience.

One of the best games in the Tales series is back and now on every platform. This version contains all the content that was added to the Japanese PS3 version that had never come to America. It also contains all the DLC from the original game.

Tales of Vesperia is one of my favorite games, almost strictly for its game play and art style. The story and music are a bit lackluster, but the 9 different characters this game offers, each with a unique play style, more than make up for them. If you want a really fun (single player or co-op) action JRPG, this is it. However, this port is not as good as it should be, despite what others may tell you. The most glaring problem is that, despite Namco claiming the Switch version would run 30 fps outside of battle and 60 fps inside of battle, outside of battle instead runs at an unlocked frame rate. This means that in towns, dungeons, and on the world map, the fps will constantly rise and drop, making for a very jittery experience. Also, consistent 60 fps in battle is not a thing. It is certainly smoother than field areas, but if Rita (the spell caster in the game) casts even a mildly flashy spell, expect drops. Also, if you do what is called an Encounter Link (which is running into 2 enemies on the field at once, making for around 6-10 enemies in the actual battle), expect constant frame drops to around 50 fps. People all over claim the battles are a constant 60 fps, and unfortunately that is just not true. The PS3 version ran far better in this regard. And while that was at a lower resolution than this port (PS3: 1280x576 vs Switch Handheld: 1280x720), it is mind boggling that a constant 60 fps cannot be maintained in battle. The unique issue with this Switch port is the washed out color palette. For some reason, the colors are nowhere near as vibrant as they should be. The PS4 version shares some of the same frame rate issues, though they are not as severe, but it certainly does not have washed out colors. For a game that thrives on its art style, this is a huge disappointment. I really can't recommend this port. It feels like a poorly optimized rush job by Namco. As my base PS4 also has mind boggling frame drops, I really could only recommend trying out the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, or PC versions, though I haven't played those ones so I can't vouch for their performance.

This is my first time playing a Tales game. I've heard this is the best in the series. The combat is a little odd at first, but it definitely gets better as you get more characters in your party. The game has crashed on me a couple of times, so make sure you save OFTEN. The gameplay can feel a little outdated, but all in all, it is a very fun JRPG that has a lot of content.

There is a reason this has been re-released so many times... it’s THAT good! The HD graphics are outstanding. If you’re coming back from the 360 version or starting new, the portability of the Switch port makes it my pick overall.

I’m a fan of the Takes games. This continues the gameplay tradition of action rpg. I love the portability and the extra it came with. Now that I’m done with VP4 and Octopath, I have another dog to enjoy. Now, back to my game!!
