One of the best of the Tales franchise of games. Worth having on switch or PS4. Action based combat. And a compelling story. These games are usually about 50 hours of game play and then of course hidden bosses and extras.

I would rate this entry right next to Tales of Symphonia. That was the first one I played and I have played the rest since then. The story in this game is really good and combat is pretty good.

Tales of Vesperia is an amazing Action JRPG. The unique fighting system is a lot of fun. The story is very interesting and you will want to see it to the end. This game provided 40 hours plus of game play.

The graphics look great, looks like you're playing a cell shaded anime. The battles are fun and up to 4 players. Story is interesting, I'm 5 hours in. Totally would buy again, this is a really good rpg. 9/10!

Great characters with a good story to boot. Combat is fun and enjoyable. Protagonist is different from the norm in this series. Makes him more interesting than (insert male anime protagonist here.)

This game is arguably one of the best in its series. A tale full of romance, betrayal, looting as well as shooting. There is no other game that comes even close. Play at your own risk.... Bwah haha!

This has been one of my favorite RPGs of the year so far. This is a good starting point for newcomers to the series. A few framerate drops in handheld mode but other than that an excellent game.

Well it was my first and supposedly the best of the Tales series. Lots and lots of talking. A lot of it pointless, some of the story felt nearly epic, combat is better than other RPGs. Overall though I would say get it on sale, it's decent but not exactly the best RPG. Try Xenoblade 1 instead.

Tales of Vesperia - Definitive Edition is a fun and exciting adventure game. Working through the story it has great challenges and is an overall excellent game.

I'm most likely to actually play through and finish this game due to the portability of the Switch, but like most larger multiplatform games, performance is the worst on this system. Still, this is a great, worthwhile JRPG no matter where you play it.

Great game with full voice acting on the most part with that anime style as well. Good story as well

I've always been a fan of the Tales series, so seeing one of my favorites come to the switch was fantastic! I'm glad I can actually play the game the way it was intended with the addition of Flynn and Patty. One thing that bothers me is the English voices, though. Instead of bringing in the original cast for new lines, they simply have new actors come in and read random lines while keeping some of the original (especially for Yuri, it's hard to ignore). But overall, it's a joy to play this game again!

All there in the title, this is the definitive version of a classic JRPG. If you're familiar with the "Tales of" games, then you'll know what you're getting yourself into. They don't change the formula up much. If you aren't familiar, it's worth looking up a more in depth review. Suffice it to say that the graphics are gorgeous cel based characters, the story is typical fantasy-based save the world, and the combat is as complicated as you want it to be. A good choice, if you want a classic JRPG.

The story in this game cracks me up. The combat is very unique and the graphics are very nice. Overall a very good Tales game.

This is an RPG made for the curious. If you like exploring and finding new surprises around every turn, this game will give you many hours of satisfying play. The action-based combat is simple to learn but challenging to master. The characters and plot are very enjoyable all the way through. Even after finishing the game (and post-game content), I was ready to turn right around and start over again. Highly recommended for RPG, action-oriented, or story-based game fans!

Tales of Vesperia is a great game. Great story and all. If you like RPGs, play it. I recommend the PC, XB1, or PS4 version tho. The switch version seems as though it struggles to run on the system. Kinda drops the immersion.

This is one of the best games in the series. They added more content for this release and portability with the switch

Nice graphics, interesting story and the fact you can play coop in battles lets you play with others.

Good remaster with new content. Same likable characters. Fun combat that you can play with your friends. Story is lacking compared to other in the series but still one of the better ones.
