If you want to get into the tales series I think this is a good starting point. It's a good remaster and it's fun to play. Combat slowly opens up and becomes more in depth.Nothing amazing but nothing terrible either a good solid jrpg.

To put in short terms, this game is phenomenal. Growing up, I remember playing the original on the Xbox 360, and it was a remarkable experience. Now that I've purchased the definitive edition, it felt like I am reliving those days.

My first Tales of game that I played. Watched walkthroughs of many others. It is an experience. Great cast, story, gameplay, and... the opening song is amazing. Still one of my favorite songs in the series because it never gets old. The staff did a great job with finally bringing this version overseas after it was only on PS3 in Japan for a decade. What are you waiting for? Play it.
