My first introduction to Tame Impala came in 2015 at the music festival OutsideLands SF and within weeks granted their album Currents one of the most consistent projects of the decade and still holds 5 years later. Fast Forward to 2019. With the release of the single, “Patience” my anticipation was ideal, BUT with the single being left off the project my first couple of full listens were not met with the same love for Currents. However, as time has past and the project and visuals for it have evolved the album title “Slow Rush” is the best way to sum up my appreciation for it. Once I stopped comparing it to its predecessor and viewed it as its own “ Breathe Deeper”, “Lost in Yesterday” & “Posthumous Forgiveness” will be the songs that will compete for the reminiscent memories of 2020”
