This lens is super versatile and performs well in low light. Super sharp image results. The only thing is that it is heavy as it is a pretty big lens. Some people might not like it but it’s fine by me.

The biggest con that this lens has is the weight and size. I knew that it was going to be heavy but actually getting it really brought it into perspective. Think of it like carrying a 70-200 as your walk around lens. Other than that this lens exceeded all my expectations and it would not make me miss any prime lenses that i'd have to leave behind. This photos that come out of this lens also have great colors and contrast. I highly recommend that one rent one first if possible because you'll either love it or hate it.

Amazing Tamron Lens. Well worth the money if you can afford it. It stays on my Sony A7RV. I plan to get the Sony 16-35 F2.8 for my Sony A7RC and I will rarely have to change my lens. I still own Tamrons 17-28/ 28-75/ and my prior favorite 70-180 and plan to keep them. Tamron continues to make value lens for sony emount

I had just purchased the Sony 16-35mm the year prior, and saw need to fit the range from 35 to 100+. I had previously used the Tamron 28-200, but I had some "issues" with that lens. When the Tamron 35-150 came out it did get enough reviews to get me to notice this model. While I lose built in IBIS from a Sony lens, my current camera is enough to cover that. Besides most of the shooting with this lens is done using a tripod. This is a heavy lens, and not the best option for carry around tourist day. But it is a quality lens, the AF is good, the images are better and I found from my last trip all were sharp & in focus with not a single bad drop. Another neat plus that I just recently came across, you can update the lens firmware easily & directly with included USB C port on the lens. That is convenient. No need for a separate dock

I used to bring my 35mm 50mm 85mm, and 135mm now I keep this lens on 90% of the time it's great! the quality is on par with the G lenses too. The only downside is the weight and price, it is really heavy and Tamron should have priced this lens around $1500 in my opinion but overall it's a great lens.

    Game changer lens!

Although this lens is big, it replaces the need for two zooms or 3 to 4 primes. Instead of carrying a 35mm, 50mm, 85mm and 135mm, I just need this. Yes most primes with hqve a faster aperture but to be able to go from f/2-2.8 is awesome. I sold my FE 24-105mm f/4 to help pay for this. That was a great lens but I wanted a lens with better low light performance and netter bokeh. I also have the FE 20mm 1.8 for wider shots.

This lens is truly amazing. As a wedding cinematographer, sometimes it’s hard to run back to your bag and swap out lenses. But because this is a 35-150, I can literally go from doing wide coverage to zooming in and getting amazing details. This has been my go to lens on a wedding day and don’t have to change my lens. The only time I swap out this lens is if I want to go with something much lighter. As amazing as this lens is, it is heavy. And at the end of a 10 or 12 hour wedding day, you can definitely feel the weight on your shoulders and back. Aside from the weight, this lens is a must have for anyone looking to replace multiple lenses or keep their camera gear to just one lens if space is limited. - Danilo @dhcinephoto

50% of a photo I say is the photographer the other 50% is the gear. HOLY cow. I had always been told my stuff was good but then I got this lens and people are just stunned at how much better my shots are. This is a heavier lens but even on my APS-C camera this lens shines. Well worth every penny.

The only con I have found so far is one that has been mentioned by others: weight. But it is not so big of an issue that I would switch out for another lens. Images are so sharp, I have not had a bad one yet. Do not waste time. If it is in your budget, get this. If not, consider selling some of your others to help pay for this one.

Needed an all in one camera lens and I think this is it. While 35 is not super wide, it is a good mid range and everything else this lens offers is perfect. This lens comes with AF and MF which I love. The MF works perfectly, you barely have to move the twist ring and boom you’re in focus. The sharpness of video and picture it puts out is unmatched. Match this with a couple of wide prime lenses or the Sony 16-35 pz lens that I plan on getting and you’re set.

All in one. Covers most focal range i needed . Very versatile. 2.0-2.8 aperture, auto focus is top notch. Only downside is no stabilization. But since my cam has it, im fine. Buy this! I promise you, its well worth it!

After two bad copies of the Sony 24-70m GM II I gave up and decided to try the 35-150mm Tamron and very happy I did. What a great lens and focal range. Highly recommend.
