Bought this for a portable projector I purchased. It fit perfect and is easy to travel with. The height isn't that high but has decent stability.

Purchased it thinking it would work great for my Sony NEX camera or my iPhone.....after setting it up and seeing how flimsy it was I took it back and spent the extra money for a much more solid tripod.

They will keep your device elevated, but for how long before it gets tipped over.... I would not trust these with heavy or expensive equipment due to the weight. They are not very sturdy and could easily be tipped over.
