Low-cost cooling pad for laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because my i7 w/ Nvidia GPU laptop overheats during certain video modes; while it doesn't prevent this entirely (probably a Linux driver issue), the machine does run a bit cooler. The specs say 'up to 15.6" computer' Mine is 15.6, but hangs over a bit. The only buyer's remorse is not getting a unit with a USB pass-through port.

I put my hand on it and i can feel something but it doesn't seem to be blowing very hard. I really can't say if it works well or not. More time will tell I suppose. It does keep my laptop lifted up off of surfaces likes rugs or bedcovers :) so i'm sure it helps that way at least.

light, solid, low profile.

My ASUS 15.6 inch extends over the sides. Not a good fit but it serves its purpose. Not comfortable on your lap as it is not padded on the edges. It's is no less comfortable than the laptop alone. Haven't tried the built in fans yet. So far my laptop stays cool on its own.
