The upper right corner does not stay in the strap. I've been adjusting it and trying different positions, but either the corner slips out or the strap constantly hits the power button.

Well I didn't bring my tablet along, but the salesperson helped me and actually took a 2018-= 8 inch tablet to show me that the fit would be just what I wanted. I am well satisfied with the case.
