If you have to give a powerpoint presentation, this remote is very helpful. The set up couldn't have been easier. Just put a battery in the device, and place the usb port into your computer and its ready to go. Easy to click through, go back if needed and has a laser pointer to assist you as well. Good little product.

For the most part it is easy to use. However if you have big fingers you may find it a little cumbersome. Laser pointer is not significantly noticeable if you are more than 2' at distance. The distance capability of remote is outstanding.

I love that you can switch back and forth between PC, Mac PPT, and Mac Keynote options. This remote works flawlessly - plug it in and go (though you do have to make sure the switch is on the right setting first). It has good range, you can lock the buttons so you can only go forward and backward, it fits well in the palm of your hand, and is comfortable to use.

I've been looking for a presentation remote for some time now. Weighing my options by searching the web and reading tons of reviews. Pricing for such remotes varies greatly, as does their compatibility with MacOS, Keynote, and bluetooth. I eventually realized I'd get better range and more options by dropping the direct bluetooth connection requirement and opening up to Radio Frequency based USB dongle remotes. I'm glad I did. The option I had been using is my iPhone with the Keynote remote app. Awesome if you want to see your slides and notes right on your remote, but also tricky in the hand because of the sensitive touchscreen. Especially if you are really animated like I am during presentations. The app also drops connectivity easily and/or changes out to other apps during the presentation based on notifications coming in - like email. Not good for continuity at all if you have to stop and find your place again. This Targus remote fits the bill and for a very reasonable price. Better yet, it was in stock at my local Best Buy. The tiny USB dongle tucks neatly into a hidden compartment where you'll also find a three-way switch to choose between Windows PPT, Mac PPT, and Mac Keynote. Each position automatically configures the remote's buttons to work with the desired application. Mine being Keynote... by a long shot. Battery life has been great, and the integrated laser pointer is useful too. The most important thing for me besides working on my MacbookPro with Keynote is the device's simplicity. It doesn't get in the way during presentations and has only a couple of buttons to worry about. Nothing complicated. Otherwise I'd get a remote that does it all - including controlling the mouse. But that's not what I wanted or needed. I've been using it in back to back presentations (as many as 8 per day) for about 6 weeks and it's a perfect fit for me. The only downside is that it's all plastic and a bit delicate in the hand. Albeit easily concealed due to it's small size. Had it been made of aluminum there would likely be no downside at all - and I'd likely pay double for it. In any case, this product is a no-brainer to recommend for anyone looking at presentation remotes that work on a Mac using Keynote. And if you're not using either of those already, I also recommend you make the switch. If you've moved over to using an iPad to run Keynote, there are other options for remotes to work in that scenario. This one is not going to cut it since it requires the RF-USB dongle.

This remote is great for PowerPoint presentations with computers- easy to use, adaptable to other computers in an instant with usb stick that is inside remote. Green laser pointer which is a bit different so nice. Can darken screen and bring back up- another good feature. Won't work with iPad.

This "remote clicker" is one of the best devices I have found. It requires no installation; simply insert the batteries, plug the link into the USB port of your machine, and present. The device is small and fits very comfortably in your hand. The laser pointer is a good feature.

Plug and play, easy operation with good range on the remote and laser pointer. I love the built in storage for the USB adapter. Comes with carry pouch.

I lecture often and needed a clicker I could take from class to class and just plug-n-play with the computer in each. This one does the trick. It fits well in my hand, so I can move from slide to slide without looking at it. I have even handed it off to students to use when they are doing PowerPoint presentations. It is very user-friendly, and I am glad that I did not have to do anything to the classroom computers to make it work. I just popped it into a USB port and was ready to go.

Easy to operate, decent range, and works without a glitch. This remote is exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this laser remote for work presentations and find it very easy to use. All you do is plug the USB into a computer and voila, it works! The only danger is forgetting the USB in the machine--especially if you are a guest presenter. I wish there were some kind of warning light or sound to alert you. All in all, you cant go wrong with this product.

Purchased the remote because I had a presentation to show to a class. Setup was rather easy. It's plug and play. The mini USB port does store inside the remote. It works rather well with powerpoint and all office products. Have to make sure that you turn it off after you're done using it. I left mine on one day but the battery didn't die.

This is a great little clicker. It has an internal switch that can be moved for PC, Mac PowerPoint, and Mac keynote. I haven't had to switch it though while using it. It has been on the same setting and works every time. The USB stores inside of the clicker making it easy to transport and keep together. Overall a great product!

Easy to use, nice sleek design. Wish you didn’t have to pop off the entire back piece to store the usb receiver piece. Other brands allowed you to slide it into the bottom which made more sense. Wish it came with carrying case, but I just used my old case from my previous remote that broke.

This is how an electronic "ancillary" item SHOULD work: Open the package, install batteries and it works with a variety of equipment--as advertised. Excellent design and thorough testing are apparent. Worked well with my six-year-old MacBookPro.

This is a perfect slide remote. I bought this to use with PowerPoint and Keynote on my Mac and works perfectly. Came with batteries and computer recognized the device. It's compact and fits great in my hand. Very natural feel and use. I highly recommend this product.

This remote was the perfect addition to my instructional kit. The range is long and dependable. The ability to lock the screen and make use of a laser pointer while moving from slide to slide is just what any professor or instructor needs.

this laser pointer meets the need I had for it: to pinpoint details of projected images during my art history lectures; it's portability and, especially, design with a large central button to operate the laser, works very well. I was surprised however that Best Buy offered no 'free computer screen' when I asked to test it in the store. I had to make a trip to Harvard to accomplish that. And the staff member I approached was less than cordial, too. A shame....

Just plugged it in and it worked with the Mac. Small enough for my big hands to conceal, yet function well without fumbling. Love the ability to lock down most of the other functions except forward and backward during presentation.

Loved the fact that was so easy to set up. Not super fancy so easy to use for the avg person. Like the laser pointer as that came in handy for other things than the powerpoint in which it was intended for. Highly recommend!

This setup for this remote was as simple as plugging it in. Worked immediately and without any confusion. It has a great range so you can move around the entire room and the laser is pretty powerful for an economical product.
