Pretty but not tough enough

He was in 6th grade. I mention that it tore because other backpacks like jansport last forever. I bought it because it had padding and cushion at shoulders. Comfortable but not sturdy. I tried to return to Best Buy but was told to contact manufacturer. Was asked by manufacturer for a lot of info. Finally gave up and took my $50 loss.

The sides have no privacy for items and they rip easily. I've lost so many items using this bag die to the front falling open
