I love the ability to stand my iPad mini both horizontally or vertically. However, I find that much of the time I'm still using one hand to hold it in place rather than the case holding the iPad up independently. This is especially bad in the vertical position. The section of the case which holds the iPad from the back is a bit too flimsy at its base causing the entire contraption to collapse when touched. The only alternative is to hold it. If holding it while you type, scroll or touch the screen in any manner while it's hitched vertically, then go for it. But I was looking for something that I could set up on the table over breakfast and read the morning news while just doing some light touching, for example. For the money, I feel cheated. This was an impulse purchase. I should have had him put my iPad in it and taken it for a spin. Moral: Always take a test drive and kick the tires!

In my opinion, these Targus cases are the best. My husband got our iPad Air mini handed down to him along with this case. When the mini was mine, I loved this case so much that I bought 2 Targus cases for my iPad Air 2's. Once, I tripped & fell on our hardwood floors with my iPad in hand. Hurt myself & was certain that I broke my iPad but all was fine. Honestly, I fell on my face & got a fat lip. I was carrying a thin blanket so maybe that helped. These cases are well padded with formed foam padding under the coverings & they rotate nicely for vertical or horizontal positioning of the iPad. In fact, I am typing this now, using the Targus case. It has nice grooves to hold the base in place for typing. I use it a lot for taking notes. They are a bit more expensive than I would like to pay but still worthwhile in my opinion.

I was looking to protect my iPad mini in my purse. There are a lot of options out there but this one meets all my needs. The hard cover is durable and stands up to the combats it has in my full handbag. The elastic clasp always holds it closed. The swivel back allows me to tent prop the iPad with ease. The versatility, durability and protection are worth the price!

Bought this case for my first ever iPad upon the recommendation of the sales staff. I like it very much. Seems durable and slim. I like that I can be used in landscape or portrait position. Like many items made overseas it did have a funny odor to it but it seems to have gotten better now that it is out of the package.

Got for the MIL to go with her new iPad Mini. She loves the smart on/off feature so that she doesn't always have to think about it. It also allows the iPad Mini to swivel around and be propped up for when she plays games on it.
