Getting right to crux of the issue, I think this is a really good disney movie, but I really think Phil Collins' voice is jarring and takes away from the film. I think they were going for something similar the acclaim that Elton John brought to the Lion King soundtrack, but this just doesn't seem to fit that well. I'm not saying that the songs are bad, or even that Phil Collins is a bad musician, but there's just something about his vocals that don't mesh with this movie's theme or artistic elements. Aside from that, I thin Tarzan is a wonderful disney movie and highly recommend it.

We thought this would be a lot better. Kids lost interest about 20 minutes in.

This is a Disney classic with a kicking soundtrack featuring Phil Collins. Tarzan was adopted by apes, grows up treated differently by everyone but his mom, and capitalizes on that difference as he is grown and is able to save his pack and other jungle animals from the most feared predator on the planet. Man. Don’t forget Kleenex.

Modern day animation masters who looked up to the 9 Old Men that helped start the Disney Studio come into their own in an era where new technology like "deep canvas" for backgrounds meets hand drawn animation. While not as over all "dark" in nature as "Hunchback of Notre Dame," the beginning of the film might be too scary for younger audiences. Still, the mastery of Glen Keane's animation for the character of Tarzan is a high water mark in modern hand drawn animation. Not to be missed.

A really fun movie and it looks very good on blu ray.

Tarzan is fantastic. I can't say enough about this movie except why did it take so long to release it on bluray?? I say that for many of the great disney titles, though, like Aladdin. Tarzan is one of those Disney cartoons, though, that employed a brilliant idea for music. There are certain movies they have that come complete with music that will get stuck in your head, and Tarzan has one of them! It's a fantastic story. Love this!

Disney's 37th animated feature wonderfully blends traditional and CG animation. The story is energetically-told, and lots of fun. Viewers with large monitors have complained about some intermittent video issues (aliasing, pixilation, banding), but I didn't notice any of those issues on my 42" display. To me, the colors, contrast, and detail looked great. Audio was solid, as well. Decent amount of extra features.

You don't get much better than some of the classic Disney movies. This is one of my favorite Disney movies, it has a great theme and is more original than all the princess movies out there. I would highly recommend this movie. One disclaimer though, for parents with really young children I would pre-screen the scene in the beginning with Tarzan's parents to make sure your child won't be to frightened by it.

Great Disney animated movie with amazing soundtrack by Phil Collins! I remember taking my kids to the theater to see it when it cam out in 1999. Now my 4 year old granddaughter can enjoy it too! Extra bonus was the really good price!

This fun and exciting Disney film will keep you entertained from start to end. The animation is great along with the story that is told. And who forget the incredible soundtrack that follows along Tarzan's journey provided by Phil Collins! Between the story and the music, this film is bound to become a Disney classic that anyone can enjoy.

Tarzan has always been one of my favorite Disney movies. I purchased this recently specifically to gain the Disney movie rewards points since I'm a huge Disney fan. I love that this copy allows you to have both the blue-ray and dvd discs, as well as a digital copy to view online if you're on the go or traveling!

This movie is nostalgia in a disc. I can still remember hearing Phil Collins play his timeless music through this film as a child, and in my adulthood I realize it has gotten better paired with the superb enhancement of blue ray! This movie will forever be in my heart

I love this movie, by far one of the best animated Disney films with great songs. I currently own it on vhs and I'm super excited that Tarzan is finally on Blue ray and DVDs. Best of all, it comes with digital copy, I've down load it to both of my kids iPads and they/I can now watch anytime and on the go.

Given the source material and Disney's child-friendly stance on their animation, I was expecting the worst. Luckily, this movie works, at least as well as it could given the situation. The Blu-ray is another great movie to add to my Disney collection! Well done!

Highly entertaining for children around age 5-6. My grandson watched it from beginning to end with no interruptions. I even found myself watching it too, and I am 67 years old - grandpa! It was a great value t your store also, I really appreciate that and I will continue purchasing DVD's here.

This is one of the Disney classics, a very great movie that maybe gets overlooked from time to time. I'm glad they transferred it to blu-ray and the price is a deal, under $20. Very rare you'll find ANY Disney cartoon like this for under $20. Wish it would've gotten the 3d treatment though.

Tarzan was a fun character that I grew up with, watching various incarnations, from live action to animation. I always liked how he had been portrayed as a savior of the jungle. Disney kept that character intact as well as bringing characters and elements in from the original novel.

The Phil Collins music that runs throughout this movie is fantastic. Cannot watch this movie without smiling. I have owned the DVD version of this movie for years but finally just upgraded to the blu-ray version for even better sound quality.

This movie is one of the last great ACTUALLY animated masterpieces in the Disney library. Phil Collins lends an amazing soundtrack to a fantastic version of the Tarzan story that will delight parents and kids alike. Do yourself a favor and buy this movie!

Tarzan might be one of the most underrated Disney movie. Sure it may not be a instant hit, but with amazing quality fom the presentation to the stellar cast I definitly suggest checking it out. One simply cant go wrong with Disney animated movies.
