Okay TV for streaming, not recommend for gaming.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a size upgrade for a bedroom tv I primarily use for gaming (and occasionally sports or movies), and I cannot recommend it for that role. For tv usage, the screen looks fine, though directly comparing it to another tv with better quality you can immediately see the difference. Where it suffers is gaming. First and formost, it is locked to 60hz. That wasn't a dealbreaker to me by itself though. The backlighting (at least on my sample) is VERY inconsistent, with zones of much brighter evident, especially with white or black heavy images. I also noticed some mildy, though noticeable ghosting on a few games. Likewise, the color just isn't quite as vibrant as i'd like it to be. But it was responsive enough, I never noticed any real latency (other than the mild ghosting), and the smart functionality is Google based and responsive, which is a big plus. Sound quality is... fine. Not great, but not horrible, either. The build quality on the TV itself is... well... it definitely feels like an inexpensive tv. Very light (like, surprisingly light), plasticy, the stand feet feel really cheap - it balances fine, but they feel like dollar store toy plastic. Lastly, and this is an admittedly kind of OCD nitpicky thing, the tv has this weird little QLED logo tab stuck to the frame of the TV on the top right side. While it doesn't actually cut into the viewable area, it does stick out from the rest of the bezel and I personally found it distracting any time I looked in that corner of the screen (so again, primarily during game sessions). It's part of the actual housing as far as I could tell, I didn't want to pull on it too hard and risk cracking the screen, but it wasn't removable with the amount of force I was comfortable putting on it. For my purposes, this tv was a miss. If you're not as picky as I am, or want a good budget tv primarily for actually watching tv, Iand you want something inexpensive, I'd recommend it with caveats. For gaming, I have to give it a pass. I ultimately gave mine to my Mom (who is definitely NOT a gamer) and replaced it in my setup with an LG C4.

Great tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TCL Google smart TV offers fantastic picture quality for the price, especially with 4K UHD and HDR support. The Google TV interface is intuitive and provides a huge selection of apps, making content discovery easy. Voice control via Google Assistant is a great bonus. However, some users report occasional slow performance or glitches, and the remote could be better. Overall, it's a strong value for a feature-rich smart TV.

Great budget bedroom TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV has amazingly bright reds complimentary to the QLED technology and will get decently dark as well. The remote is Bluetooth and IR so no matter what you can still control the TV with the remote which is a huge plus. Also comes with VRR which is a huge bonus for gaming! Now to the negatives... TV speakers are crap as expected from a sub $300 TV and there is a bezel around the display. About once a month there will be small white lines that will jump horizontally across the display that can usually be fixed by going into the settings to restart the TV. The TV also has a slight bit of ghosting which unless you are really looking and in a game with a bright background and dark foreground it is almost not visible. That's why this TV is 4/5 for me it is great on a budget with some quirks that may get patched in software updates!

Fred‘s review of the TCL/Google TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all the overall product DCL/Google TV is outstanding. It’s so good. I bought a second one to go in my bedroom. You can view it at an angle perfect picture. I like the way that it remembers where you are when you’re watching a particular program And it brings it right back to where you were watching it. If you’re watching a local channel it also brings that channel up the next morning. The AI software is outstanding. It does characterize what you’re watching if you’re watching sports you get ideas about sports you’re watching movies you get ideas about watching movies they’re all displayed and very easy to understand icons. I would recommend this TCL Google TV for anyone who’s looking for an ease of operation.

Great TV, for Value and in General!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from a pretty cheap, non-smart 1080p TV that started getting dead pixel lines after about 2 years of use, so we were looking for a nicer TV that wouldn't break the bank and that would last for a while longer. Suffice to say, this TV is wonderful!! I got it on a deal, and at that price I don't think we could've done much better. I've always been a bit skeptical of smart TVs since you can just buy a Chromecast, but I'm happy to say that this one is just smart enough for our needs without being overly dense. Also, getting the version with Google TV was the best choice ever because now I don't need my old Chromecast for regular use! Going through menus and watching stuff through the built-in Google TV is smooth as butter, which was a relief after years of seeing laggy, painful menuing in other smart TVs. As for the TV itself, it is WONDERFUL for our needs and use cases. I remember some people complaining about sound, but to be honest the built-in speakers are perfectly serviceable—I'm not picky. The build quality is also very good too. Great value for the price!! My phone made the room look way darker in this picture, but here's a still from Gravity Falls I guess!

TCL 43inch tv, Impressive and Affordable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as an outdoor tv, so it is used in higher than normal lighting conditions and with additional exterior noise (waterfall, street noise). It sounds great, clear, bright enough, loud enough, clear on people talking. The picture is good too, very clean, crisp, the colors look great, sports motion is clear. It was between this and a slightly cheaper 43inch from another brand. I chose this one on the brand recognition vs a much more "generic" brand, so far so good! Also, the tv interface is slick and fast! I turn it on, and from the moment I hit YouTubeTV, it fires up and plays my content in a quick second, that seems like a minor thing, but trust me, it's something you want! Get it, you will like it.

**Please Read** One star for bestbuy, 5 for TCL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is for the TCL 43" Qled Q6 (open box, like new). The TV itself is amazing. The motion rate 240 does work but isn't ideal for gaming. This tv would easily get 5 ⭐️ if not for the misleading "open box like new" description. The tv was shipped without Styrofoam packing, legs, or the adequate hardware to mount/install. Luckily the tv still worked and I was able to find what I needed in my shop to make the mounting work. Bestbuy needs to work on quality control in regards to open box items. Cudos to TCL for making a product that survived shipping without proper packing...

Excellent Gaming TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV if you're on a budget. I got it on sale for $220 and at that price it's a steal. The 4K picture is crips and clear, colors pop and the screen is fairly bright. It has a game mode and supports all the necessary features for gaming like VRR, ALLM and HDR. It is a 60Hz panel though so no 120Hz gaming. I also use it as an external monitor for my MacBook Pro. It has chroma 444 output so text is crisp and clear. Sound is decent. It get can get pretty loud but bass is lacking. I'm okay with it but I might get a soundbar at some point. If you're looking for a TV that with great picture quality that's great for gaming but won't break the bank this is the one to get.

First TCL to Impress Me
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have a negative opinion of TCL having worked in retail many years ago, but my brother recommended me to give it another try. I am glad he did. The initial setup was frustrating, but once that was done, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality. It runs smoothly, picture and sound quality are superb, and it is just the right size for me. I have used it for YouTube mostly so far, and it is the best quality I have seen and heard on any device I have used it on. I highly recommend giving it a shot due to the high quality and low price.

Good for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Slower processing time when turning on than my 55” TCL and frequently have to re-establish internet connection which, again, is not an issue with my other TCL. That being said, great price point and picture.

TCL Q6
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is to replace the one my ex broke, and it’s impressive! The Atmos sound from Dolby and 4k up scaling makes every show amazing. The colors are incredibly vivid which makes movie watching better than the cinemas. This is a must have tv!

My first Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've purchased my first Smart TV after over 10 years of my Sharp 40 inch non smart LED TV. It started given me hints and I decided to purchase this TCL 43" for it's amazing price and great comments. A great investment indeed. Looks great, connected my devices to it with no issues, connected my laptop and no issues as well. Look forward to many years of enjoying this TV. The delivery and pick up at Best Buy was fast and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Will buy from Best Buy again!

The 43” TCL series 6 is great for small spaces
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic high resolution TV for small spaces and bedroom use. Excellent picture quality and truly easy to set up. I’ve connected it to my Polk sound bar and to my Bowers and Wilkins PX7 SE2 wireless headphones and have had no problems connecting and or switching between the two. I also have another higher end 65” TCL 6 series TV with local dimming and 43” still does holds it own! Love this small TV!

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV was as described. Very clear and dynanic picrure. Pretty worth it for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s pretty good for its price, if you just need it to play games and watch movies it’s great. It doesn’t really look too good in super bright rooms, you can just manage with editing the settings in the tv. I play games on a ps5, the response rate is pretty good, the Vrr works fine. Don’t expect crazy performance when playing competitive games.

great tv value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very good picture quality. menu is easy to setup and use. The only negative is the remote. I had read reviews about people complaining that the app buttons on the lower third of the remote can be pressed by mistake. They were correct. Must palm the remote and use the other hand to press buttons.
