This tv sucks. It over heated and cracked the screen.

This is a solid tv, very bright, easy setup and easy operation. Google TV platform is great, tv response time is very good, picture quality is very good as well

Great budget TV for watching shows and movies. The brightness on the TV was pretty solid and a good color palette in my opinion. The audio from the TV was good enough but could be improved with a soundbar. Other than that the TV did go out in 3 months but overall the 4 series had a decent quality for a good price.

Budget option for a TV at the time, but occasionally starts to freeze. Considering using my geek squad support to either swap or upgrade. Display, and sound are reasonable for the price

You pay what you get. However, I may be biased due to having bought this TV open-boxed, and my review will reflect that sentiment. Price-wise, this is a great low-budget TV for it's price. Colors and images were pretty neat, interface had everything I needed, and overall, was easy to figure out and use. However, within 8 months of purchase, the screen flickered out and stayed black, despite being able to turn on and play audio. Various internet inquiries led me to figure that the backlight blew out, and that it'd take specialized care to fix it-- of which, I don't think was worth the effort or money. If you're looking for a cheap TV with decent imaging and maneuverability, TCL has your back if you're willing to take the chances of possible hardware failures. But as a suggestion: save your money for something a little more expensive but not prone to problems.

Great picture,i bought this for my mom who had a Roku before this,nice picture not crazy about the remote cintrol or the home page setup

Beautiful picture, limited sound and spotty reliability. This television constantly glitches and fades to a black screen. Luckily Geek Squad will be replacing under the protection plan.

Great tv, set it up for my aunt in her living room on stands . She is very happy with picture and sound quality

Can't beat it for the price. Obviously it's not perfect but for this price range you can't go wrong. Display: Great colors and high resolution - again not perfect. Not the deepest black you'll find in a display but outstanding for the value. Sound: Loud enough to fill a room, however not the best range of highs and lows. But if you're an audiophile just get some external speakers. Features: Google TV is amazing to use and this TV makes it snappy. Google TV has loads of apps to use on the Play Store and allows for loads of customizability outside of the Play Store (via sideloading) if you're willing to do the research. Google Assistant has the best voice-recognition that you'll find hands down. I'd recommend this TV to anyone looking for a budget display.

Highly recommend TCL TVs. I had a 40inch smart tv and wanted to upgrade. Got the 50unch and i do not regret it one bit

I purchased this TCL TV in January 2022. After only months, it just stopped working, in that it would turn on, but the screen stayed 'grey'. There was no nothing... The thing just stopped working. I had purchased a service plan, so I was suggested to receive in replacement TCL in October... we ALLLLL know that wasn't gonna work!!! SO a wonderful agent by the name of "Michelle" found a comparable replacement in a Hisense TV. We've had it for about a week, and so far so good. I purchased another service contract... let's hope I don't have to use it. Let me add that for the time we owned it, the TV worked fine.... until it didn't (without explanation)

Tv has a nice picture, what makes it such a nice set is that it uses Google for the interface.

Picture is good. It is a bit slow sometimes and I get error messages when streaming in different programs. The remote had to be replaced after 10 months because the original batteries were leaking battery fluid. Best Buy ordered the replacement remote (still waiting to receive it). For the money it is a good value.

This TV replaced a 2 year old 50 “ Toshiba that was bought for my 50 year old Nephew who is a veteran stroke victim living in an assisted living facility. I did not buy the protection plan on the Toshiba so I bought the most cost effective television I could get at Best Buy. I did buy the protection plan for the TCL tv.

TV works fine started having audio issues after a couple of months

It was good while it lasted but died on me out of nowhere just around the 2 year mark after purchase. I see in other reviews too that it’s a pretty common experience—the screen wouldn’t turn on anymore, just sound. I tried all the troubleshooting steps but no luck, the problem just got worse. Now it won’t even turn on at all. I expected it to last for at least 5 years, this is very disappointing.

Nice affordable tv. However few problems. Cant connect phone or laptop wirelessly to tv. Its hard to pair bluetooth device. Overall average peformance. Picture quality is fine, sound is adequate for the average room size, used since 1.5 years and no problems yet

I guess some folks are pretty picky about their tvs. Sure I like a nice tv, but not for $2,500. This model was like $240 and its great. I love the Google tv, you need to pay certain subscriptions but you dont really need cable tv service, just internet. I don't watch network commercial tv anyway.

This tv has a great picture and was very easy to set up. We purchased this brand because it was a very reasonable price. This is for our cabin so we wanted a good value, good picture at low cost. Great tv especially for a second home.
