You literally get video ads when turning on the tv, thanks Amazon! Awful channel choices on the 3D printed remote (Disney, Netflix and Amazon channels, seriously who uses Amazon music??). Apps are slow. Blaming the Amazon portion bc I’m TCL loyal but this bummed me out. Would exchange for a TCL/Roku in a heartbeat.

“Budget” GONE BAD

This TV is the definition of a “budget buy”. I would NOT recommend this TV, not even if it was $100. The sheer amount of glitches I have encountered are exhausting. Have had periods where the sound crackles, then it goes away. Sometimes there will be an icon frozen on the screen for months (for example the mute icon). Sometimes it just won’t turn on. It almost never connects to my WiFi. DO NOT BUY. I’ve had it less than 6 months and am already debating
replacing it. My last TV, a HiSense Roku, lasted my 5 years.

The screen when running apps has size definition set to auto and can't be changed to 4:3 or 16:9. Auto selection is frequently wrong. Usually on 4:3 sources. You get a 4:3 box inside a 4:3 box. Gives a very slim picture that is not very watchable. The ability to set to 16:9 would have eliminated this issue. This is the only fire TV I have with this issue.

REALLY frustrated I purchased this yesterday for Christmas, only to see it go down in price the following day. Especially dissapointed I was forced to open a Credit Card to purchase. Will be closing my card and reporting this improper selling practice. I hate you, Best Buy. Just turned a once “loyal customer” into someone thay will actively attempt to help you achieve your bankrupt demise as soon as possible. Be prepared.

The tv is fine, but BestBuy sort of sucks. There was a price drop and the sales guy said it was like an early Black Friday thing and then there was another price drop on Black Friday and I called about a price match, but even though it was less than a month later they tell me to pound sand.

On my 2nd TV first one blooming from lower panel right out of the box, current tv has a dead pixel 2 months in contacted customer service for warranty and denied fixing it saying a certain amount of dead pixels is normal. Dead Pixels are not normal… Don’t waste your time buying TCL products as they don’t stand behind their workmanship. Save your self some time and buy a different brand

Horrible picture quality

Purchased this during the early Black Friday sale. Was going to use this TV for gaming but the picture quality was so bad even after playing with all the settings. The picture was washed out and blacks were too gray. Also the right side border of the screen has horrible backlight bleeding into the picture which really got in the way during gaming. Returned the TV for a full refund. Do not get this for gaming.

Not good for motorized ceiling mount

The rear mount of the TV is really flimsy. I bought for a motorized ceiling mount and it was a mess. Figured out other same size TVs had stronger mount patterns. Bot the back plastic, the width of the mounts, and general feel. When mounted the rear mount plastic flexed on the bottom.

I got the TV a few months ago when I turned on the TV to watch some shows the TV looks blurry and grainy I call TCL because the TV was under warranty took them 3 months back and forth they said they were gonna send me a replacement but within 3-5 day had to call them back they said they didn't have the same model of tv they said they were gonna replace it with a similar model tv waited other 2 weeks got a call saying they were gonna give me a refund wasted almost 4 months of my time
