I gave it 4 stars as the sound seems to only be audible at around 12-15 in the volume control. I called TCL to query this and they said "volume goes up to 100... so this shouldn't be an issue". For me it seemed a strange response...anyways, color is excellent, sound quality is good even if you can't hear anything 1 through 9...All other TV's I purchased in the past you could hear something at the lower volume range. I decided I didn't want to bother to exchange/return tv ad it meets my basic needs and pricing was good.

The price point is a great value for this 4K TV. Easy to use Roku platform. Sharp picture and great to watch for action pictures.

Lightweight, easy to install, good picture, good price.

For the price, this seems to be one of the best TVs you can buy. The Roku platform is great-there are plenty of streaming options and a lot of free content. Picture quality is very good, colors seem to be quite true and blacks are great. Some reviews mentioned that this TV didn't get as bright as others, but I have not noticed this to be an issue in my setting. Aesthetically it looks great with narrow bezels and solid construction.

The TCL - 55” Class 5 Series comes with Roku built in one of the best smart TV streaming platforms. It also includes the Roku remote which is very simple compared to other TV's complex remotes. The Roku remote also allows you to plug a set of headphones into if for those times you don't want to disturb others, a great and unique feature. The picture is superb for a TV in this price range. I'm very happy so far and highly recommend.

Pro: I like having the built-in Roku interface (no nongle needed) and the ability to switch between Roku and cable mode. The 55-inch size works great in the room where it was installed. Con: The preset picture quality was pretty bad with reddish and orange skin tones as compared to two other TV sets I own. Adjusting the picture to the desired shade was not easy and took several rounds of trial-and error to get it right.

Great Service in stalling on wall. Easy to use, clear, vivid color. I will buy another one .

This tv is only marginally better than my 7 year old LG. The roku OS is good and easy to use. The issue with this tv is the screen. I've bought 3 tvs in this price range and have had the same issue. At the top of the screen there is a slightly darker area that extends down about an inch with a thin lighter line under it. I'm just going to accept that this is not something that can be fixed as I'm not going to return yet another tv. If fyou don't look at it the picture is nice.

The new TV has a great picture. The Roku software was easy to set up and seems to be working fine.
