Great tv and price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome TV for the price. I use it mainly for video games, but I think the HDR and overall color is amazing. To be fair, I am coming from a 7 year old 1080p TV, but to me it’s a world of difference that was worth my money.

A Great TV for a Great Price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Haven't been disappointed yet with TCL. My first one from 2017 is still working great but I needed another one for a bedroom. Enter this baby, Its a big TV with great picture and features for a very fair price. The built in Roku is great. From my experience and my friends, TCL has been great and has given us few to no problems. I can't say the same things about LG or Vizio sets in the same price range as this. Get a decent soundbar and you've got your self a TV experience.

Very happy with my choice!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Great picture and sound. I dont even have a soundbar. Great price. I would absolutely encourage friend and family to strongly consider a TCL TV if they were in the market. My son recommended it to me.

Excellent tv, excellent value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actually blown away by the sharp picture at this price point. Overall it rivals a tv of double the price. Roku runs fast and seamless. No delay when using the Roku remote. Roku and tv also set up nearly instantly.

Not bad for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautifully designed TV. Decent picture for the price but overall does not have great viewing angles. The remote is also a bit too basic and the TV lacks picture. Adjustment options. Decided to exchange it for a vizio OLED during black friday.

Qled technology at standard LED Cost. Great Value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into the store expecting to buy a standard LED Samsung TV, but the store clerk Nichole showed us this TV which had a superior picture and uses QLEDs. While I never personally owned a TCL product, other members of my family did and they were quite satisfied with them. Be aware that this particular model does not have component video input capability, so your old DVD player or VCR may not work with it. There is an AV adapter port, but the adapter that I purchased did not work with it. The AV adapter does not come with the TV. The built in ROKU capability is excellent as we cut the cord years ago. Highly recommended!

Beware of USB Message
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an entry level TV. Picture, color is good but the Refresh Rate and Natural Motion Rates are not good. When you're watching football, racing or anything with fast motion the blur is pretty bad. For an normal TV show it is fine. The big reason for the two stars is a problem I see a lot of people having. After about a year I got a message that covers about 6 inches of the bottom of my screen that says "USB device requires more power.....yada yada yada. I've never had a usb device plugged in. Pressing a button on the remote will make it go away for about 5 seconds....VERY ANNOYING ! ! TCL & Roku customer service gives you the generic alt/control/delete reset TV info that does nothing at all. I now need to buy another TV and would like to step up to a 6 series but this issue has me in doubts with TCL.

Good stats for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased late in October, now full 2 months later. I think this is a great buy for the price. If you just want a screen to watch casually or for the Kids to watch their shows on, this works great. We've experienced some software/firmware issues with the TV randomly boot-loading, which is frustrating. Not unexpected though, seems every device I purchase has some problem like this. Roku UI is simple, snappy, and works really well for the casual watching we use it for, although not a fan of the remote. Picture is good, but struggles with motion sometimes. This TV probably won't impress you compared to many on the market that cost significantly more, but if your expectations are reasonable, it probably won't disappoint.

A lot of TV for very little money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Late this past winter, I was forced to replace my two year old Samsung plasma big screen. It had been trouble free with an excellent picture in all regards. However, a study of Samsung in the middle range of current LED quality and pricing revealed a lot of dis-satisfied owners; many with like complaints. I mentioned my quandary to a friend, who invited me over to view his TCL, a 55S424. I had to admit that, although I'd never heard of TCL before, the picture was exceptional, even exceeding that of my faithful Samsung Plasma. And so, the next day, I ordered the next generation 55" TCL from Best Buy, a 55S525. Better even than the 424 that my friend demo'd for me, I thought when I first fired it off. A little fine tuning and the picture was exceptional. Fast forward to this month, and I opted to install that TCL in the master suite of the home that I'd just done a major remodel on. Uggh, more decisions as to what I'd install in the great room to replace it. It was a no brainer; another TCL 55", only this time a 55S535; the newest in the evolution of the 55" TCL class 5 series lineup. And yes, the picture is even better than the 525. Assuming that the longevity is as good as the "major brands", TCL is an exceptional value.

Good TV for the Money
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a couple weeks of homework on various makes and models of televisions in the 50" to 55" mid-price range. I concluded that TCL's Roku QLED was a good choice and it had the number of inputs I needed for my home setup. I have only had the TCL running in the house for about a week but no obvious issues or setup complaints. I have had Roku in our house on other streaming devices so I was already familiar with the graphics. (I was leaning toward Roku because of the ease of use for our household.) Suggestions for others considering this TCL TV. 1) I chose to purchase a universal center stand and not have to install the included legs. The included legs require a wide piece of furniture which did not fit my current living room setup. 2) I chose to purchase a Roku voice remote. The cost is minimal as the included remote control lacks the voice feature. Very good decision as I enjoy the flexibility to control the TV. 3) I re-evaluated my current HDMI cables. I found I had a poor quality one in the mix and purchased a new one. After all the picture and sound for connected equipment are only as good as the cables. 4) I was surprised but TCL did include the VESA screws. My universal mount worked perfectly once I noticed the screws were already screwed into the VESA mounting holes on the back of the TV. (All I had to do was unscrew them and complete the mounting setup.) I would purchase this TV without hesitation.

TV awesome. Remote is worthless
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tv is very easy to setup and the picture is high quality for the price. Compared to my recent samsung qled, the picture is the same. The downfall is the remote. What a big letdown. I stood in front of the tv to set it up. Once done, I took up a spot on the bed to watch and tried to turn the volume up. No luck. Tried to change the channel. No luck. Walked back to the tv and was able to change tv and volume. Apparently, you have to be 3 feet or less from the tv for the remote to work. What a joke. I guess you get what you pay for.

Good mid-tier TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reasonably priced flat panel TV. This is my 2nd TCL RokuTV. I like the simple Roku interface and had a smaller/older TCL TV that this purchase replaced.
