Visually this game is almost as great as the last Tetris game released. Awesome soundtrack, learning curve isnt too bad.

I never played the original Tempest, but this game is so much fun. I love the graphics, and the gameplay loop is very addictive. I bought this on Xbox One and loved it so much I had to get the PS4 version since it was on sale. I would recommend it, especially now since it's on sale.

Basically it is Tempest + Txk. My only complaint is that at times it can be a bit too flashy with the visuals, and that there is --so far-- no VR support. Back in July 2018 Jeff Minter wanted to keep it in, but it would have added a lot of development time. Also it is up to Atari, so who knows.

Bought this game for nostalgic reasons, its one I would play on the Atari jaguar. It obviously looks better than the Atari version but it is a unique game and not for everyone. The price was great and got at a significant discount so it was worth the purchase.

This is a great update to tempest. It plays well, is fun, and has all you would need out of a tempest update. Don't expect hardcore modern updates, this is tempest, pure and simple. More particle effects and cleaner graphics. I got it super cheap and would have paid more. It's a very fun game.

Absolutely love this game! Its old school tempest with a new school paint job. Reminds me a lot of Tempest 2000 for the atarti jaguar in HD. If you've played the original or any of the other Tempest games you will be right at home here. Just blast everything that moves and try not to die. Easy to pick up and play but hard to master.

Tempest sure brings back memories. It is a great port of the original and updated with new sound and graphics that really get the adrenaline pumping as you play.

Fun game and cool visuals if you like Tempest. Get it when it’s on sale if you can. Maybe not quite worth the full asking price tho, tbh.

Fun throwback game. Introduced this game to a couple of 10 year olds, my niece and nephew, who loved it! It’s a great throwback game and we were able to play it together! Finally, something an adult can play and beat the kids!

Nice update to a childhood classic on a modern console. From the Atari to the PS4. Graphics and controls make this worth it

Amazing game and an all time classic that will never get old. This game is pure arcade magic and fun. If you love fun arcade games then i highly recommend this.

This game is a very good representation of the arcade version. It's a bit harder to control with PS4 DS controller. I wish they make a rotary controller for this game. That would make it great!

While the arcade original with it's trackball was the best version of this game, Tempest 4000 is still a blast to play on the PS4. The enhanced graphics make it interesting to watch and play.

Loved this game in the arcade when i was a kid. Live it on Playstation. A little different but still the same game.

This is not like the original Tempest arcade game, but it is still a lot of fun. FAST moving action on screen, music if you want it. Happy I got it.

My dad loves the tempest games, this was a must have, keeps true to the traditional style of gameplay with a modern twist.

This is for the old school game heads. This is a classic action game, that has your reflexes and eyesight going.
