Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the HDTV Antenna's reception, ease of use, and picture quality. Many also appreciate its relatively easy installation and the number of channels it picks up. However, some customers reported inconsistent signal strength and limited range. A shorter-than-ideal cord length was also mentioned as a drawback by a few users.

Picks up plenty of HD channels in my area.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TERK HDTV Antenna is thin and you can easily mount it where you get your best signal. This is an amplified antenna and I was able to get 25 channels that are watchable. The signal meter has LED lights on it that can help with the antenna positioning and it works pretty well. I was not able to get the meter all the way up but it was in the green and I am satisfied with that. Your mileage will vary and I live near some hills that block a few of the stations, but I was still able to pick them up for the most part. I have mine mounted on my window that faces West (same direction as the TV stations) and when a vehicle drives by the road outside my property, the signal cuts out for a second but then comes right back. A little annoying, but if I mounted it higher up it wouldn’t be an issue I think. In addition to the 25 watchable channels, I do get a few more that show up, but the signal isn’t strong enough to display a picture on my TV. Most of those are just extra channels that the main stations broadcast in addition to their main line up. The main channels, CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CW, etc show up great and in HD (with the exception of CW, the channel broadcasts in 480p and is stretched in my area so I always avoid that station. This is a nice inexpensive solution if you want to pick up the HD channels in your area for free and cut the cord from the expensive TV providers.

When signal is good, great. Other times...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It may be my location. It may be the signals. It could be the device, but I can't quite tell. I used the led meter to find a good spot to mount the antenna. I didn't get a "perfect" signal, but I did get a single "green" light which should have been fairly good. Setting up was a breeze, and mounting was easy. Instead of 3M squares, I used the 3M removable tabs to avoid damage. After I ran the scan, the antenna showed 70+ channels! Excellent! Except... 1/3 of the channels rarely come in. It just shows the data. I'd prefer they not even show the channel if the signal is too weak. Fortunately, they are channels I'd never watch. The main channels came through without a hitch. The first few days, they were glitchy, but after that, they have been fairly solid. The build of the antenna is great. Yes, it is thin and seems flimsy, but it is fairly strong. The cable length is enough that I can mount high and hide the excess neatly. Once again, maybe if my living circumstance were more friendly to open space for the best signal, I'd receive even more reception, but as of this moment, I can say it does at least get me the stronger network channels. I would recommend at least trying.
