Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Omnidirectional Flat-Panel HDTV Indoor Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many also found it easy to install and appreciate its compact design. However, some customers noted that signal strength and range could be improved, and a few felt the price was high. The optimal placement of the antenna for best reception also required some experimentation.

    Buyer Beware

With the hope of picking up a few more digital channels than my $20 radio shack antennae, I thought the "amplified" feature and 3 X the price would do the trick. I actually received fewer channels and the quality was worse. I'm pretty sure this is just a basic antennae in fancy packaging.

clear as directv and charter, but $0 per month. better than amazonbasics antenna. excellent solution to cut the expensive pay for TV cord - saving $1,000 per year on a $80 investment.

Just what I was looking for

Had two antennas from another company. One wouldn't get ABC, the other wouldn't get CBS (both are local stations). This gets both! in HD! And since it was the DotD I got it at a great price. Had it up and running within minutes.

    Not omnidirectional

The antenna works well and looks good in my home, but is definitely not omnidirectional. The simple fact that I have to rotate the antenna to receive certain channels means that it is unidirectional. If you are looking for a good unidirectional antenna, I do like the reception I get on this one.

    Worse than a $9 antennae!

This device barely works. It got absolutely no reception for the first couple of places I put it so I was almost convinced there was something wrong with my tv! I finally placed it on a couple of boxes and got 7 channels on my first try. Then I decided to move it just a few inches over to see if I would get a few more channels since my neighbors get at least 13. I ended up getting 3 channels TOTAL! Not only that, when I tried to watch something, it would flicker the entire time and eventually just lose signal. Nobody moved it, the weather was crystal clear, but after a few minutes, it just completely dies on you. I would run the "auto-program" over and then it would say NO CHANNELS. So even if you do get a few channels, they're not going to stick around. The commercials aren't even finished playing by the time it loses signal. I would seriously pass on this. Waste of time and a serious waste of money.

    Poor VHF reception

    Posted .

I've found this antenna lacking in many ways. It does not operate omnidirectionally - that is certain. It is very directional. I've tested this in a window facing the towers for broadcast. Also it only reliably (somewhat) picks up UHF channels. The VHF channel in my area is seldom tuneable. In all very poor performance. I'd recommend people steer clear.

No good with trees on property

Gets same reception as $20 antenna only 16 channels. I am 26 miles from tv stations antenna. I used a compass app to point the antenna at the station even though the antenna is omnidirectional. I still did not pick up new channels. I am on a property with 30-40 ft oak trees. I would not recommend if you live in an area that is wooded.

I cut my Comcast cable - too expensive for the little I watch. This antenna works quote well - it gets all the major stations and a bunch I've never heard of.

I purchased this knowing I would not get a lot of channels as to where I am located, but did not expect to only get the three channels I already get with no antenna at all just COAX cable running into my attic. This may work for some but not even close to what they say it will do.

Got the cheap rca worth rabbit ears and returned it for this set. This is much more elegant. The panel is easy to hide. The controversy is that the amplifier makes the most difference. If you are close to a digital tower the amp may be a hinderence.

    Did Not Work

We are about 40 miles from a city with towers, so we purchased the 50+ antenna. It did not pick up even one channel. We tried every possible configuration, switching tvs and so on. Taking it back.

Works ok... Picks up some channels but not any of the mentioned channels on the box that I really wanted. Could possibly just be my area. Most of the channels that I do get look HD.

    A dud from day 1

This TV had issues from day one. It would never connect wirelessly to the internet or to the sound bar. The first day I used it, it randomly turned itself off. It came back on and usually did this one time only per viewing session. The timing was random before it'd turn itself off. It could range from 2 hours to 6. I should've returned the unit for a different tv but with the holidays I didn't mess with it. As time went on, it began to turn itself off more frequently. I called geek squad not even thinking of going through Samsung themselves. The tv then refused to remain on more than 5 seconds. A new mother board was put in. It then connected wirelessly as it should've and connected to the sound bar. Then after a week it began to shut off again. It then disconnected from the sound bar. Samsung replaced the power supply. It worked for about 2 weeks and then began to shut off randomly again. The unit then went back to remaining on for about 3-5 seconds and then the screen would go black again with no audio. After lengthy discussions and seemingly getting the run around Samsung is replacing the unit. I'm only hoping I'm not forced to accept another of this model. It's been junk from literally day 1.

No better than the cheaper options

NOT WORTH THE PRICE DIFFERENCE! I live in a large city, and bought the $18 antenna, which worked OK, but needed adjusting for some channels to come in. I bought this $79.99 amplified antenna to receive every network channel without needing to adjust the position, but this performed EXACTLY the same as the cheaper antenna. No difference at all, so I will be returning and just settling for the cheaper option.
