I tried the antenna in various locations and at heights from floor to cathedral ceiling and still had a lot of pixilation and loss of signal.

We live far from the local TV station towers and this antenna with its booster did the job. We were able to pick up all stations but 3 which all info I looked up said we would need an outside antenna to pick them up, I didn't want to use an outside antenna. I did install this antenna in my garage so I could hide it. The picture is better than the cable service we had, which is crazy! If you're looking for something to get local TV channels this will work just fine. Make sure you check your mileage from the TV towers if within 50-65 miles this antenna should get the job done.

This antenna worked well. I got more OTA channels than I expected. Only issue I had was that the cord is a little short and the power is in an odd spot. Also wasn't sure which side was supposed to face out.

Previously I used a rabbit ears setup with the antenna stretching across about six feet. I bought this hoping for better looks and better quality, and it delivered on both issues. The TERK Ultrathin Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna was very simple to install. It is the thickness of a laminated sheet of paper, and has a black or white side, and either side can face out. I mounted it white side out against a white wall, and it looks much better than the old antenna. But the greatest thing was the improved performance. I did a "before" and "after" experiment, surveying the channels I received and the picture quality of the old antenna and new one. Even better than expected: gained ten channels, going from 11 to 21, and clearer pictures. If you're looking to cut your cable, you can't go wrong with this.

So, I confess that I am officially an HDTV antenna snob! This antenna is the best purchase I have made in a while...possibly in my entire adult life! The picture is clear and it has made it through 2017-2018 winter without losing signal. (Note: I placed mine in a window as suggested) Every major channel worth watching...you got it...throwback channels you forgot you loved...you got em’! It was so easy to set up that I just kept looking for extra pieces and wires but there weren’t any! Plug, Search, Enjoy! Over and above the call of duty Terk with this antenna!! Absolutely love it!

Cutting the cable but I still wanted local channels. Too bad I live about 45 miles from the transmitter antenna. This unit was recommended and we receive amazingly clear signals, more channels than expected. Happy, happy.

This antenna works, but I am just a bit too far from the TV transmitters for it to work properly. Height is key. If I were located on a second floor, it might work ok. The active (powered) preamp is certainly worth it, but only if you are within reasonable range. None of these indoor antennas are going to work at the exaggerated ranges the manufacturers claim unless you are on a 6th floor apartment facing the TV transmitters. If you are within 15 miles of the TV transmitter and don't have aluminum siding, It may work ok. Beyond that, it depends on a lot of things. Try it out but be careful to keep the box in good shape. If it doesn't work out, you can return it. Super simple to hook up to your TV.

Quick set up! Reception is good. We were surprised by the amount of channels we actually got in well. We live in a valley area, so some signals go right over us. Just try an get it higher up on an outside wall.

Yes, there are some of us who do not have cable or Dish. We watch what we can get over the air -- which, when you haave one of these antennae, is quite a bit. Sticks to the window so barely visible. Great product!

I got this to replace my rabbit ears antennae, and it does work much better. It still has some issues in high wind situations. I had it hanging on the wall, but have since moved to hang in the window...I'm sure my neighbors love that! The strips that came with it don't hold it up so well; I had to tape it to the wall to get it to stay.

I am very happy with this HDTV antenna. The rep in-store told me this brand was a leader in the industry for antenna's and he was correct. I get crystal clear reception (digital signal) with placement in a window. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to cut the cable.
