This is a good movie to watch! I would recommend!!

This is an oldie but a good but it's an old movie so you can't expect much from a picture. Better than a regular DVD but far from a current Blu-Ray and not even in the same universe as my 4K HDR but I wasn't expecting a miracle.

This has always been a great movie but its even better. I would have expected more special features but still happy to buy.

An original story line is what carries Terminator. As a whole the acting and writing are average at best doing the best that could be done cinematography wise with the tools and resources film and studios had at the time

Cool movie and good for the franchise. The twist in the movie hopefully means there will be more to come in the future.

Tried to do too much and not well explained. Poor special effects and tribute to old movies does not seem sincere.

One of the best sci Fi movies of the 80's. But the picture was grainy and not real sharp.

Very tense pacing, well conceived storyline. Traces of hokum here and there, but worth seeing once for kicks.

Got for a friend they did not want great movie saw it long time ago.

Arnold could act this movie would be much better .

Really bad edit in 4k with horrible HDR. Glad I kept my bluray. Not worth the upgrade to 4k

Animatronics and stop-motion...definitely a blast from the past.

Not only is the copy I received old, damaged and the insert is offset badly, it is in a blue case where the web site clearly advertises it in the red case.

Let's face it, the first two Terminator films are classics. This first one, which can be described as a techno-noire mixed with sci-fi and horror, taught the world that a cybernetic organism can be a terrifying thing to encounter in the night. Fantastic start to a series, and the Blu-ray transfer is IMMACULATE.

Finally some justice! This version is for the purist, who love to see every inch of grain, without edge enhancements or filtering period! I was very delighted with the visuals, which have never looked better.. The Sound Quality is very good, with a PCM 5.1 audio mix, showing some deep bass frequencies and fantastic center channel volumes. The mixing of the channels shows someone put some TLC into it. I actually heard things that I never did from VHS or Standard DVD.. Although he deservedly became a star with Conan The Barbarian, Arnold Schwartzenegger became a superstar as the title character in this flick. He's an unstoppable android killing machine sent from the future to kill a woman whose actions are destined to eventually lead to the destruction of those who built Arnold. However, she gains an ally in a soldier, also sent from the future. Both Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn (the woman & soldier, respectively) are instantly likable and sympathetic. Hence, our fear of Arnold's Terminator exemplifies as he persues them throughout the film. Even the police officers (played here by Paul Winfield & Lance Henriksen) aren't the cliched, pompous movie cops often seen, but are actually a bit more thoughtful and intelligent. Although the film itself has a relatively low budget, it's SFX are still first-rate, and the ending is actually more downbeat that it at first appears. The film's director, James Cameron, also scored his first hit with this film, which led to other classics from him such as Aliens and Titanic.

This movie needs no introduction. Suffice it to say, you already know it is a great movie. However, the superb video and audio found on this disc makes it that much better. We are graced with a lossless PCM 5.1 audio track and a video quality that blows away any other version of the film. To suggest that people pick up an out of print DVD over this one purely for the lost special features is just silly. This print has clearly been gone over with a fine tooth comb by Sony. It looks simply amazing. Any fan of the film would be happy to have this one in their collection.

For some reason the low budgetness of this movies makes it scarier than it should be. However, its an action packed movie with loud blasts. Wish you can remove the unclothed people scenes. I mean, blu ray should have technology to give you options to show a kid friendly version shouldn't it? Who wants to see these grotesque scenes anyways?
