If you are a terminator fan, which for me I am only a fan of the original terminator and dont mind the second film, all the rest can go in the trash! You will enjoy this game.

Slow start to the game. You are part of the resistance and are avoiding terminators. Hope it gets better for gameplay.

I will say here that this is a very good game. Released as a budget game loosely related to the latest Terminator film that came out in November of 2019, Terminator Resistance rose above my expectations by having a solid story with likable characters, and solid gameplay to wrap it all nicely. I’ll start by saying that while I think the graphics on the backgrounds and the enemies you fight in this game are really good, the character models are below average for a Ps4/Xbox One era game, heck I’ve even seen better models in ps3 games. That however is to be expected since this is a budgeted release and is actually easy to forgive when you take the story into consideration. It sees you playing as Jacob Rivers, a soldier in a post-apocalyptic world whose previous division has been destroyed by a mysterious infiltrator. You then meet a group of people who’ve been doing there best to survive the Terminator onslaught and you become a member of their group for a time and become friends with them depending on your choices. As the game progresses, your friends help you get to the bottom of the infiltrator mystery and work to stop the Terminator war. When it comes to the story, the strength comes from the writing, as the characters you come across are very believable. The game introduces a Telltale style mechanic where you can have conversations with the characters, learn about there past, and decide whether or not to run errands to help them. Your choices in how you treat the characters also impact the outcome of the story in a very real way to, though not every decision you make is important to the plot, which is to be expected. Personally, I’ve never actually watched the Terminator movies myself, but consider how much you’d like the story of this game as a Terminator fan when a random teenager on the internet liked it so much. That being said, the gameplay itself plays as a first person shooter that sees you fighting robots of various kinds, including T-800s soon into the story. It also has a looting and skill tree system that makes the game easier as you go along. You can also pick up items during the game that you can use to either sell at a shop, or use to craft items. I personally didn’t find too much use of crafting aside from medical kits and ammunition, but it gives more variety to gameplay which is welcome. Not long into the story you are equipped with a hacking too you can use to hack enemy turrets or open certain locations. The hacking itself is basically just a game of frogger. There is a decent variety of weapons to select from, but you unlock plasma weapons soon into the story and are encouraged to use them the most, as most other weapons can’t damage T-800s. This game really does make you feel like a survivor in a Terminator war, which is something I really appreciate. Even making the game in first person is actually pretty effective and I’m not usually a first person type of gamer. It’s not perfect however, since as much as I love the story I do think it could be a bit longer, but that just may be me, and I’ve also heard that the difficulty is way to easy even on hard, so make sure you play this on extreme unless you aren’t super experienced with these types of games. That all being said, this is easily one of the best games I’ve played all the way through in a while now, and I definitely recommend it if you’re interested.

I was very hesitant to buy this since i never heard about it. It came out on the PS4 and alot of people complained that it was too easy. Well they fixed that for this version. If you are a diehard Terminator 1 and 2 fan then this is a must own. I really enjoyed it even though its not a triple A title. Its really done well and its very fun and immersive. Buy it now before it sells out. This will become a rare game. And if your curious. The best Terminator game of all time is the Sega CD version. But this comes at a close second
