Hard to figure out how to use, everyone I know who has one and has the knowledge loves it.

There is a serious problem with this calculator. Often when you use the TVM functions, the screen goes blank and then it resets itself. I hope the advanced version of this calculator, i.e., the TI BAII Plus Professional does not have this issue for these two calculators are the only financial calculators authorized for taking the SOA Exam FM. I hope I get a replacement or my money back for the defective I got.

I bought this because I was in a finance class! This is so hard to figure out. I read instructions- I watched videos and I returned it thank god for great customer service vice at Best Buy. Use an online finance calculator or use any except this one

this is a great financial calculator for any finance student or people in the financial working world. it has the ability to do just about any financial calculation (annuities, annuities due, NPV, IRR, cash flows, general investment problems and much more). it is fairly self explanitory to use and if it isnt then the paper insert on the cover will tell you most of what you need to know. the only downside i've found on this calculator was trying to find the NPV of cash flows in the billions of dollars because the calculator only goes to 10 digits and i couldnt find the 'carrot' symbol so i had to round off a few of the numbers

I'm taking a Finance class and I find this calculator much easier to use than the HP-10. If you have a lot of experience with TI calculators, then this one should be fairly easy to learn. TVM keys are easy to to work and and conveniently located. My only concerns are that it doesn't feel as sturdy as my TI-84 and the buttons are a lot stiffer too. Additionally, the button placement is arranged a little differently and I constantly find myself turning the unit off when intending to clear data from the screen.

As any Texas Instrument calculator that I have owned in the past, this calculator does all the functions I need it to do. I purchased this calculator for a finance class, and it has worked for all the application I have done so far. The calculator was $10.00 at Best Buy than other stores. I would suggest this calculator for other business students and anyone who is working with Time Value Money problems.

This is an awesome calculator. It does everything you'd expect it to do and then some. However I don't recommend it. If you need a calculator for a business class or something, then it's great, but if not, just download the '10BA Pro' calculator on android or Google. The app will give you more functions than this calculator for free.
So, unless a professor won't allow you to have your phone out for something in particular, just download the app for free.

This calculator is ideal for students going through financial classes or for just working on one's budget. I am constantly calculating and recalculating various numbers and figures when it comes to debt consolidation and such. Texas Instruments has not let me down yet.
