    Greatest calculator ever

Does literally everything I need, and saves me so much time on tedious and time consuming math of complicated engineering problems. It can handle matrices and carry out a whole bunch of linear algebra operations, so I can solve systems of equations much faster and focus on the details instead of performing 10 steps by hand and losing a sign somewhere. It makes dealing with and performing operations with complex numbers so much easier when dealing with circuits. If there is something you don't know how to do it is a lot easier to Google "how do you do such and such with the TI Nspire" than to look through the manual, there are tons of tutorial videos on how to use different functions on Youtube.

This is an excellent calculator for both teachers and students! As a teacher, I have the CAS model. The book that comes with the CAS model is very good, if this is your first time using this calculator. It has step by step instructions. I use it in my class almost daily. It is a required calculator at my daughter's school and she has this model. She hasn't had an opportunity to use it yet, but I know she will love it for all of its capabilities. It can be plugged in to a wall outlet to charge and can also be charged via USB. You can also get updates via USB. Has a QWERTY keyboad and can be used on most standardized tests (ACT, SAT & AP Exams).

This calculator has tons of features, and many will probably go unused. However, everything works perfectly and the interface is more like a computer, which is good for students growing up with technology. The interface is different from other Texas Instruments products, but it isn't too difficult to get used to. I love the rechargeable battery. The calculator is also allowed on standardized tests like the SAT and ACT as of now. All in all, it may take some getting used to, but with time you will grow to love it, and in my opinion its better to have too much than too little when it comes to features and functionality.

My old TI-83 just died on me after about 12 years of use. Something happened to the screen, so I figured it would be a good time to replace it. I got this calculator on sale, so it wasn't that much more than it would have cost to get another TI-83. This calculator has a ton of features, and I do a lot of work in biostatistics, so it has come in handy already quite a few times in the short time that I've owned it. The interface is a little different than the TI-83, but it just takes some getting used to as this calculator uses a "document" system. Overall a great calculator.

Awesome calculator many great features and I love the fact that you can just add a number to a negative number without having to put parentheses and any other hurdles just put 1 – -0.850 that's it not 1 – (-0.850) or any other convoluted way like most other calculators. If your taking Statistics this is fantastic calculator saves you time and you can edit numbers without having o start over if you made a mistake. The only thing I wish that TI would do is include a wide array of very concise learning videos for different mathematical computations that schools require you to learn.

I was returning to college after 17 years and was hesitant to get it at first since I wasn't sure I could figure it out. I had to learn to use it with YouTube tutorials and the Texas Instruments website. Now that I know how to use it, I absolutely love it. It has helped me to do my math homework and help my children with theirs. The simple functions allow you to bypass a lot of the different keystrokes needed on other Texas Instruments models. It feels almost like you're cheating on assignments with this calculator. I love it.

I bought this for my son over the more popular TI-84, primarily because of the ability to save the calculator work to a computer. This has come in handy already in with papers. It's different to use that the usual one students have but after a short learning curve he's got it. One concern was the battery - after a week or so it had issues charging. A couple times fully draining/charging seems to have helped that issue, but I'm keeping an eye out in case it re-appears.

This calculator has some outstanding features. Note: If you want to do indefinite integrals and derivatives get the CAS model. The graphics are great and the built-in tutorial will get you up and going quickly. The battery lasts about a week with heavy use. It also has software that allows you to use the calculator functions on your computer.

How precious is from my last math class which was the retake of college algebra cuz I threw am I away my when I finish stats in I didn't think I would need anything more than a normal one or one I can have on my phone for physics. What but this was way too complicated and not for the purposes I needed but I do recommend it to anybody else in the medical field and it works perfectly

As a student, I prefer this one over the other calculators. It’s fairly easy to use once you learn the main functions; it has a little bit different approach if you used previous graphic calculators. It has a track pad that moves the cursor like a mouse and its battery charges via USB and lasts 100 hours. You can also transfer info back and forth, all standard image types. You need to take the time to explore this calculator, it's worth it!

My son is in all AP and Honors classes. He wanted a calculator that he could use Through college. We had settled on the TI 84+ CE until reading several expert reviews of the TI-Nspire. It took a couple of hours for my son to really get the hang of most of the functions but once he did he really likes it better than the TI 84 line. He now has several of his classmates that are going to ask for the Nspire for Christmas. A wise and very cheap investment for my son's future.

Our son needed this for 10th grade algebra II. I did not want to spend this much money at first until the Best Buy employee that helped us told me how much she has enjoyed hers in school and now her second year in college. I felt so much better after talking to her and realizing this was the on he needed now and when he goes to college. He likes it and is glad we had her to help us make the right decision. Great product and great staff.

Absolutely the best calculator in the market right now. If you would like to encourage your kids into programming, this calculator would be the right instrument. It has all that your kid will need for his school and beyond. Very impressed with quality of the build. I still got the 2 years extended warranty so I do not need to worry abt this breaking especially when you allow you kids to push the boundaries on this calculator.

I have used the older TI's previously and I just felt it was time to get the next generation TI. Paid a bit more than the older models but I felt it was worth pitching in the difference. Tiny bit of a learning curve but there are tutorials available on the website and on Youtube. Easy on the eyes with the colour screen and retains the previous entries after powering off (granted that you do not clear what is on memory).

I'm a little upset that I made this purchase because not so much later rhe CAS version came out. This one only lets you make some calculations but does not perform integrals. The graphing is great, and the appearance as well, but I would go with the newer version if you want to have the reliability.

My daughter is a Secondary Education Math major. She is so excited about this calculator that there a no words to describe her appreciation for it. She was showing me things that this calculator can do that I had no idea that a small calculator could do. She says that she is now the envy of her peers. If you are a Math Teacher or an Engineer, I would HIGHLY recommend this calculator.

The Texas Instruments Ti-nspire handheld graphing calculator is great for completing calculus homework. This graphing calculator has touchpad navigation and a full keyboard. It also has the Student software to help complete homework assignments. It also features a USB port to allow connectivity. I have had the same one previously and this replaces it. The previous calculator last about 4 years.

Was recommended by my son's teacher and can be used through out high school. Can also be used on standardized tests such as sat/act. There is also a feature to keep notes which my son utilizes. Has many features but have not used all yet. Had to go to several stores to find in stock seems to be in high demand. Overall happy with purchase. My son likes it a lot as well and uses it almost daily in class and at home.

Went to a teacher training and i was amazed with the capabilities of the nspire. I've used an 84 and casio, but the nspire has them all beat in functionality, speed, and general ease of use. I was intimidated when i first seen it, but after 15 minutes of training i was able to explore without any reservations. I have used it and the software that came with it everyday since the training.

I think the title says it all. I will add that it is also very flexible since you can down load to this device using the included software. Cons: Software license should not be limited to one PC, but in my opinion it should be tied to the Calculator itself. Its a pain if you have a desktop and laptop. Also I had an error where I need to reload the OS. Lets hope this never happens during a test!
