This is one of Charleton Heston's best films and is historically accurate. It should be watched as an example of faith in action, of faith under pressure and of how one man's accomplishments are brought about by revealing God's purpose in their life.

It's really sad that our current crop of movies as well as quality of actors seem to be missing what these greats gave us!

Perhaps not historically accurate, but very good acting. worth your time to see real actors not just pretty faces.

This is a nice clean release of the 1965 film. It shows a somewhat fictional depiction of the relationship between Michelangelo and Pope Julius II during the commission of the Sistine Chapel ceiling frescoes. The Prologue is a marvelous review of the famous works of this great artist. The soundtrack was rich, but not overwhelming. Worth a watch.

You can't beat this movie. It has it all... A great story, a great cast, great acting and it's even historically accurate. What a combo.. I rarely give out five stars to movies - a movie REALLY has to mean something. It has to move me, it has to hit and squeeze my heart for me to give it 5 stars. ----So watch it ASAP!

The story of Michelangelo is fabulously told with Heston and Harrison in the lead roles. Michelangelo wants to be a sculptor, but Pope Julius wants him to paint the chapel, thus the conflict and what an outcome, the Sistine Chapel is created while the Pope tries the save the Catholic church from extinction.

My wife is an artist and this movie is art 101. She & I loved it. We both are bit over 50, and great fans if Charelton Heston. One of the all time GREATS. Remember it is dated. They do not have all the photo tricks they have these days. Raw, GOOD acting
